Most of mine have been part of buys or trades. Bought a couple from ProVape and Super T early on...hmm good approaching time to invest in some more perhaps.

What seems to be the best mAh size?

I'd go 2400's. I bought one of the 3000's and it wouldn't fit in most of my devices. IT is safely stowed away in one of my flashlights.

Vast knowledge ? Wrong fella lol I just read....a fair bit trying to learn this.

As regards mAh I usually get 1600 - 2000 mAh rather than anything bigger.

Reason for this is simple I take 2 mods with me when I go to work which represents the longest time away from home and spares normally.

One is the XL, the other a ProVari with either 18490 or 18650 I am playing with a Ego based device so that may come along. Anyways all things being equal either mod should last me a day at work but I find I swap between the 2 to change juices so I rarely actually push battery life. As I rarely push battery life no need for larger mAh. My work day should be 8-9 hours but can be 18 in a heartbeat so I have some spare bandwidth if needed.

This is just what works for me.

I just picked up an Ego 18560 and did read one vendor says unprotected and another protected do you know which is the safer one to use on the Ego devise?

I often use RTD vapor for batteries and chargers. Super T Manufacturing is also quite popular for batteries, as well.

I like AW batteries. (The protected ones are the black ones). AW has been considered a very good battery maker for quite some time and ECF does recommend them.

Some vapers are starting to recommend a very specific panasonic set of #'s and letters and I have no reason to disagree, but you can't go wrong with AW, whether you go high drain (red) or protected.

And, the Vapage batteries aren't bad either and they are protected.



There are other ECF vendors that carry AW.

I have one. There is a modicum of protection but I would go with protected on it

Why? We'll it is regulated to 3.4 anyway. No matter what battery you put on there that is what you will get until the battery dies.

I almost forgot about Ikenvape with all the hassle they were going through a while ago... but it reminds me I started out my XL (after going through the free attys and putting them aside) with an Iken i06 LR. Don't want to open a can of worms (d/t for i06, and how they fit in the collar, and the tight draw on some of the i06's).
oops I guess that's why I haven't heard much about them here.

I still stick with the Aero (1.5 only) on my XL and the only issue would be user error by overfeeding (like pretty much any atty).

Left my Aeros for a bit sitting in VG. Last time I check still ohming at 1.1.

Back on the 357. While still fluctuates between 1.3 and 1.4 performing back to what l would expect from it.

The Hybrid was really good actually. That is the trouble with having a few attys, well for me at least, keep swapping them around out of curiosity about how they perform with this or that juice.

from what a couple of guru's have said, both Fernand, and MWA, about longevity, putting them together...on this issue; long lasting HH357 and basically any coil; build up the carbon on the coil (fernand) and wash only occasionally (mwa). It works for me. This is the best I've gotten out of my hh357's, Aero's... rotating 3 or 4 hh357's and 2 Aero's on 4 or 5 devices. About 6 weeks!
No issues, and no deterioration of vape quality (which would get me to meter and wash).

At 4 weeks my 357 is still a baby.

If it carries on as it is for another 4 will be happy. Though fully expecting me to manage to blow it lol

Super T has some charts on their site somewhere --- they show that Protected 2400 & 2600 mAh is the best bang for your buck when it comes to AW protected batteries. That means that you pay a lot more for higher mAh without the corresponding length of use time between charges as one would expect.

Uke -- if you want to try the i06 again in your Vmod buy one of those sleeves Wharf Rat sells. It looks quite a bit like the tube of a 510---but it isn't. It fits the i06 nicely and is still wide enough at the top for 510 drip tips. The Siam sleeves are too thick.

I saw it a while ago when Provape had a ProvariPower 2500 P18650 ...which was similar (before) to the 2600 I believe.
Saying that it would really put out sufficiently for what the Provari could do.
My uneducated analysis...In this case although the IMR has much higher output in earlier stages, it is best for LR outputs needed, but much shorter time.
But the P2600 should get close enough for either LR or SR coils, for longer times.
Personally since i'm lately into LR atomizers, I stick with AW IMRs especially since the XL is non regulated and I only use 1.5 Ohm atomizers on it.

but haven't tried it on the XL since liking the Aero better... i still have a stash of i06's though.
imo the i06 is a great atomizer; the Aero edges it in flavor imo.

I'm still undecided on the debate between the safer chemistry IMRs and the Protected IC's. I have both and end up preferring the protected because of the higher mAh. I also bought some of those 2cents safety fuses.

Is there a thread somewhere that discusses the 2cents? I haven't stumbled on much talk of them.

yes, but you can see the initial higher ouput of the IMR 1600 which btw is also higher than the 2000 AW IMR initially as well.
