I"d look up RTD Vapers here on ECF or SuperT; both vendors are among so many that carry AW .. these two have great shipping prices and service.
thanks for the heads up...Is there a local place I could try to find something like this. Like an electronic store?

my answer; ymmv: there's a balance. I don't know the factors but you have to consider a few things. Size to fit compartment, Flat top, button top, High Drain IMR or Li ion, and overall quality.
HiDrain IMR works best for LR because LR draws more voltage. Li ion will last a little longer but possibly at the cost of performance. Both are safe if the brand is good.
Mah is relative to size... flat top may fit more batt size in the same compartment, but may not fit the design of the PV.

I don't bother with cheap batts.
AW is the best imo... IMR 18650 or P18650 (Li ion) will work; button tops. The IMR has a new 2000 or the 1600. (I've heard the 1600 performs a little better).. More mah should get you a bit more use time... Li ion should last a little longer too, but like the above, it's all balanced by the factors.
does the maH matter? is there such thing as to big?

Whelp I thought I was one of the lucky ones and I wasn't going to have a cracked chassis, but alas started noticing juice inside the vmod and I spotted the hairline crack.

Where is yours? I had a bad one one my first in the front where the two half's meet going up the seem. Been using my replacement with a hair line horizontal across the half's hasn't effect performance as yet so I've been putting off sending it in. I read the turn around about getting it back is supposed to be pretty quick with the improved chassis let us know how long it takes to get your back.

It's in the front, like a u shaped crack

Put a thin piece of tape around it and make a tab. Then you can pull the tab. (Before inserting, of course) :) I did that on all my batteries at first --- but now I don't. I use my fingernails, somehow.....and often push the positive side down to depress the spring a hair. I've had a lot of practice.

:( on the wrapping coming off. Not good.

Great. Dunno why I did not think of that. I guess I could use a ribbon of some sort.

Next ?: Do you think these will work on the vMod?

My only suggestion --- it has been recommended to use stainless instead of the black paper covered ones. That micro difference in size is kinder to the seals--but the blue seals are tougher and much nicer than earlier ones--so it may be a moot point.

(Disclaimer -- The seals kit I bought is blue --- other's may be different.)

As these are XLong not Xlarge (fat) they fit fine. They just stick out of the cone more.

Oh BEFORE you insert the battery, eh? And here I was thinking I'd have to go all "catch cup" on this 'modification'... ;)

Another update: For those that don't know, I've been endurance testing the 1.5 Shi Fu spec atty. No maintenance, no cleaning, no nothing. It's been 22 days, and it's still vaping like a champ. I started using BWB Casablanca, but I started running low, and my fiancee likes it in her tank so I switched. So this latest bottle is filled with BWB Hazelnut Tobacco (possibly Don's most underrated flavor.... nomnomnomnom). It's a darker liquid, so that may skew the results, but I don't have any complaints.

Thanks for doing this! It's great to know. I am of the school of thought that the less you do to attys the better....all this soaking in alcohol stuff, dry burning, etc. there is no proof it does anything. As a matter of fact, I've talked to at least 3 people who say same thing...some are getting 3 weeks+ out of attys by NOT doing anything except blowing them out.

yeah baby, for a mass made atomizer, my 1.5 Ohm shifu spec Hybrids are a 5 out of 5; vapor, flavor, consistency, durability (3 weeks too) and going strong as heck, ease of use, it's all there. I've got two going every day and evening.

Well, I think I "may" have to trade my brand new VmodXL for a Vmod2.0.

It's just a tad heavy for my very arthritic hands. Most people would not even notice, we're talking ounces here, and it's a gorgeous thing, but I'm thinking I should just have two Vmod2.0's instead of one XL to get me thru the day.

Sigh.

I'm not a chain vaporer, so how long do most of you "get" on a Vmod2.0 batt vaping normally? (Not chain vaping in other words.) Knowing this will help me make a final decision.

I couldn't agree more!! The only thing I do is blow them out, and I have blown one atty in the last year(it lasted 5 monts!:w00t:)

On the 2.0, I was using two batts per bottle of juice:) This was using a 1.8 IKV 901:thumbs:

I am getting ready to order some new atty's and although I exclusively use the Avid Cisco spec LR306 1.5ohm, I am going to give the new Shifu spec atty a try. I just hope it is much better than the hybrid I bought a few months back. I was not impressed with it at all. It was lacking in all area's compared to the Cisco spec's from Avid. There must be something special about them as I have read a lot of good things on all the forums I frequent.

I have a question that I hope someone can answer.... I am also wanting to give a try to the IKV IO6 as well now that they have the atty's and the drip tips both in stock. My question is, will the IO6 delrin drip tip stick up enough out of the cone on the XL? I know with the Cisco 306's you need the extended drip tip for them to work well. Will I need to use an adaptor with them? Will the Siam SS sleeve fit inside the cone to be able to use a standard drip tip with it? I know I read something a while back about the Siam tips and the sleeve but couldn't find the info again. If anyone knows where the post # and could pass it on, it would be greatly appreciated... Thanks....

sorry muzic, although somewhere in the beginning of this thread, I probably gave a description of using an i06 on the XL, i've forgotten and it was long ago, before Iken went dark, and as I recall i don't think the delrin d/t will work, but a sleeve should; I was making my own back then with some snipped off delrin d/t and fitting something over that for a regular d/t.
I hope Iken got the tight draw on the i06 fixed; the air holes needed reaming`at the threaded connector... that was a while ago too.
