Hey everyone!
I'm the proud new owner of a VMOD XL! Just got it today in the mail. I gave her a bath per the directions and set it up. So far, after 3 hours of vaping I am very impressed. No problems getting the silo to work at all. I primed it, tilted it, and gave it a "squonk" ; pure vaping pleasure! Wow, this thing is truly amazing. I got it in black but I also got the camo and the burl covers. She's wearing the camo now any she looks good enough to vape ;-)
I may have to put all my other toys away. I think I'm in love.

Congrats Old_Gregg! I agree...I knew I wanted a Vmod. But had no idea I'd fall crazy in love with it so fast...or that I would end up pushing my other APVs aside in favor of it all the time!

I messaged Vapage and was told some colors are going to be restocked, in about 2 weeks. That will be cool! I really want green. Right now I have the gunmetal and the burel. Will be getting more shells, for sure. Already got some spare bottles and O rings. Stocking up madly on super shorty cartos and will probably get some 2 ohm Vapage atties. I'm not big on the atomizer thing (too fiddly!) but figure I ought to learn, anyway. Lovin' the Silos and the super shorty cartos, though.

I'm now a confirmed Vmoddite! Vmodian? Vmodder. Hmmm. Well, whatever...I'm sold.

I like the 2.ohm atties, the 1.5's are just too spitty for me.

The smoketek shorty 1.7ohm cartos really rock on the vmod though, I agree.

Keep in mind, one bottom feeder will lead to others.......I think I've owned from 4 different companies now. The little vmod2.0 was my go-to for a long time though. I really can't find anything NOT to like about it, except that it is not repair-able (unless you are modding it yourself) so of course I bought more than one when I got started with these.

I ordered a couple of AMG hybrid attys from Vapage a few weeks ago. One was DOA.
I contacted their customer service and they are sending me replacements.

Yes I got my VMOD XL during the last sale and love it so much. I'm going to sell all my other devices and buy more bottom feeders. Love just being able to take it on the go and have everything I need and look feel and perform wonderfully. I am using a 1.5 amg hybrid atomizer for 3 weeks and it is still going strong. The one from the kit was 2.0 I believe, doesn't really produce enough vapor to satisfy me. I want to try out the super short carto's and a HH357 and some cisco atomizers too but I love the vapage 1.5 hybrid. Planning on stocking up hardcore next time they are 50% off.

Have a couple of 1.5's over 6 months and still producing.

Swapped them out last month and yes the new ones are significantly better they are still good.

The Shifu attys really work well. I grabbed a couple of the 2.5s (non-Shifu) and there is a major difference. Also be mindful of the o-rings in the device. They can break you. ;-) I spent an hour or so (ok it felt like an hour) the other day trying to figure out why the hits were so poor. The one o-ring in the juice well had slipped down a groove closing off the juice supply. The o-rings are a pretty major item with how the VMods perform. It's a good idea to have some spares on hand.

ShiFu. When referring to "ShiFu" as an atomizer...are you talking about the AMG hybrid ones at Vapage???

This is really getting confusing. I get it that the guy who invented the Vmod is a "ShiFu" now. But why are people always talking like ATOMIZERS are ShiFu????

Shi-fu means master in Chinese. When the newest version of the AMG Hybrid atty was announced in production it was called "Shifu-Spec Atty" by Brian and people on this thread. For months it was called shifu spec atty or shifu. Then, Shifu became the nick-name for Brian, the Vapage owner that spends much of his time in China with his manufacturers, as he was the master behind it (as well as the VmodXL and Vmod2).

Soon after Vapage put them up for sale on the site the USA staff called the new version in the description something like "pro slant coil spec."

I believe Vapage is planning to have all AMG Hybrid attys, either bottom feeding or universal versions be "shifu-spec" AKA "pro slant coil spec" when the stock warrants it. The AMG Hybrid's have all been good and there have been a few tweeks along the way. But, the Shifu/Pro Slant Coil is a very very good and long life atty that some compare to atty's sold at more than twice the price.

Wonder what gem Shifu is working on now?

I like box mods better than the tube mods but still was resisting the bottom feeder types until reading more about how people are recommending them.

What i hope for the most is that the juice bottle will be enough for all day on the VmodXL. I am a chain vaper so i go thru a lot of juice plus i use pg based juices not vg.

I hope you like it more2! I think you will. It took me a day or two to get the hang of it. My first effort wasn't so good...turned out the battery I got was faulty..must have had some sort of short or something, but I thought it was the Vmod that "burned too hot". I was going to give up on the Vmod (with a heavy heart) and put it on the Classies. I was looking over the stuff before I wrote my "ad" and took a good look at the battery...the top was all scorched looking! Suddenly I understood why the Vmod vaped so hot! I put in one of my other batteries and with a little practice...learned my squonking technique and how to best enjoy my mod...and now I don't want to use anything else! (The battery thing doesn't worry me..that can happen with any battery. Hit shappens.)

A bottle will generally last me all day..then I refill in the evening for my bedtime vaping while reading (I tend to wake up during the night and read, too. Old age isn't for sissies) and that will last me into the next day when I fill again.

I use the Silo cartos and the Smok super shorty cartos...2ohm. Love 'em. I have tried the hybrid atomziers from Vapage, and have had better luck with them than most atomizers, but I'm just not an atomizer kinda gal. The cartomizer are so much less fussy and don't require such frequent squonking. That's just me. You might love the atomizers.

My juice is 85% PG. The only reason I put a little VG in my juice is to boost vapor production a little. Otherwise I'd skip it. Prefer PG juice.

Edit: Oh yeah...and you KNOW I'm a major chain vaper! lol! So I understand where you are coming from. The Vmod XL is working great for me...so it should for you, too! I hope so!

The last 50% off the kits was at the end of March. I suspect it might be a bit before there's another of those. But there IS a deal right now (or was on Tuesday) for the Vmod kits (XL and V2) and the XL a la carte. Not 50% off...but not a bad deal at all!

I got my VmodXL and am very impressed Where can i get the Smok super shorty at 2ohms.I only have found the 1.something ohms.

Of course the mod is bigger than it looked online and my hands are small so that is a challenge.Plus getting used to the squonking but it will be worth it to have something that i don't have to constantly refill

I have been watching a lot of vids and am thinking of getting another one before they all are gone.Then i will be finished with trying to find the right mod because i believe this one is what i need to be happy with!!! I say this after only a few hours of use because i am optimistic

Has anyone had theirs for a year or more? I am wondering how will the plastic hold up.

I've had and used some daily an XL for almost a year and 1/2. It developed a small crack that was fixed easily with super glue and is still running strong. I replaced the o rings once. I'm still on my first bottle and have had not needed to use the spare I bought. Some are rougher on the bottles, probably squeeze hard, and they wear out sooner.

I do believe that tiny crack issue was fixed well by getting a supplier to actually make them they way they were spec'd instead of cheating. I haven't heard of any cracks in ages. It was so minor, I never even sent it in for replacement.

I'm sure there are some that have undergone some abuse and wear......luckily mine is only a few scratches on my shells/bodies.

Thanks tearose50, now I am really satisfied with my purchase and just ordered another one because of the sale they are having.

btw do you like the atomizers or carts the best. Or do you like both equally. I haven't tried the atomiser yet.
