I had to send mine back twice for a cracking of the plastic chassis but Vapage has been very good about replacing them even when my warranty was over. The process for a replacement is a lot faster nowadays. Like tearose50 said they got a new supplier towards the end of last year and haven't heard much of cracking issues since. My baby v-mod or vmod 2.0's are going strong with no issues for over a year.

Thanks tearose50, now I am really satisfied with my purchase and just ordered another one because of the sale they are having.

btw do you like the atomizers or carts the best. Or do you like both equally. I haven't tried the atomiser yet.

thanks fourthrok, for your advice and experience, it was a major decider in my first purchase!

I used to use them equally until the "shifu" aka "slant coil spec" version of atty came out. Now my vmods only use that as I find it one of the best attys I've used. Of course, I learned to vape using attys back in the day, lol, so attys were not new to me.

Here's a picture of what it looks like if you peek into the "shifu/slant coil spec" atty. Since you just got yours---does the atty that came with the vmod look like this? I'm hoping all the kits have the "shifu/slant coil spec" atty these days and would like to know!

I think it is best not to make too many changes too fast. If you have been using carto's stick with them for a bit.

Excellent news, more2! I'm a vet VMOD user as well (going on 2 years now) and I'm thrilled to hear that the Shifu attIES are shipping with the VMODs. Have you thought perhaps of getting the smaller VMOD for hand sized-ness? (I just made that word up, didn't I.)

I finally had it with mine. Its been dropped 3 times and every time it dropped (even on carpet) it had to be taken apart and put back together. The wire always comes out of the connector. So I got that high dollar VV bottom feeder everyone compares the Vmod to. I loved the Vmod but the final draw was when it left me stranded after hitting the carpet from 2' off the ground. I hope no one sees this as being rude of vindictive, but this be the facts. I will probably still use the atomizers though. Love the hybrids.

Katdarling, I will probably get the small vmod, but i really like the amount of juice that the big one holds :) I am going to try and get used to it first. It isn't to uncomfortable just bulky and a little bit awkward for me right now.

Striker911, at least you tried it, sorry it didn't work out for you. Can't you get it repaired or replaced. Or sell it on the classies?

I got my VmodXL and am very impressed :) Where can i get the Smok super shorty at 2ohms.I only have found the 1.something ohms.

You can get the 2 ohm sc super shorties at Madvapes. That is about it for right now. Discount Vapers did have them...but they were sold out last I checked.

Got my first VmodXL 5/1/13

I am still amazed at the Vmod XL. This is the best vaping experience ever for me and i have tried a lot of devices. So far I like that a bottle of juice lasts me all day and night. The cart that was included with my kit is still working just as good as the first day of use.

So far the atomizer doesn't work well for me, but will keep trying.Maybe it is me or the juice i use is too thin. I only use PG and mix my own juices to be sure that no VG is involved in my mixes.

I ordered a extra kit for backup. Ordered more carto's from Vapage, plus some other shorty carto's from madvapes and vaporbeast. Right now i am resisting the urge to get the smaller Vmod for taking when i go out for the day.

And to finish this post off I have found that just tipping the mod without squonking is enough for the juice to get in my carto. I do squonk but not much at all. It is probably because of my juice not having VG in it. ymmv

Vmodian, vape on...

Whew...you threw me there! Talking about getting super shorties at Vapor Beast! But I see they are just 1.7ohm...and that's still a bit low for me. I do like a cool vape!

Yes...the Vmod is an amazing vape! I didn't realize what I was missing before!

My juice is very thin too...so maybe that is why I also don't seem to be able to get along with the atomizers. Not even the slant coil ones like come in the kit (certainly not any other kind). I can get the Shifu one to work for a short time...maybe an hour. Then I guess I vape too hard and too frequently because inevitably things start going wonky. Flooding, burn taste, whatever...it's just not that great. So I'm sticking with the cartos for now.

Because I like that fresh ZING of menthol..I do like to occasionally tip my Vmod a bit and lightly squeeze. Just enough to get a bit of a "squirk" sound. Get that coil really wet. But I guess just tipping is enough...I'm just greedy for that eye popping menthol/koolada punch!

Tip: Does anyone find that bracing the bottom of the Vmod on your pinky is just a tad uncomfortable? Maybe the edges are a bit sharp-ish? Nothing serious, but maybe could be improved a little? I have something I did with mine (that is reversible, so it's not a major commitment like sanding or anything) that really helped with mine if anyone is interested.

I am interested in your tip fourthrok.

What I did was get a little piece of duct tape...bigger than the oval base of the Vmod..and stuck it on. Using the tape with this, you can peel it off when you want or need to. Then I got a piece of felt big enough to cover the bottom of the base and hot glued (low temp glue gun) it to the top surface of the duct tape. Next I got some sharp scissors (I used small sewing/embroidery scissors) and trimmed all the excess tape and felt off...so the "padding" is custom fit to the shape of the Vmod base. That's it! It gives your pinky a bit of a cushion and helps it off of the sharp edge...yet it looks nice. Like it came with the mod that way from the factory.

I even wash my Vmod with the padding still on. I dab it firmly with a towel then use a hair dryer to help dry it. If it doesn't dry quick enough..no big deal. I use it anyway and it dries in the air soon enough. When it gets a bit raggedy, it's easy to just peel off the old one and make a new one.

It's made a world of difference in being comfortable holding and using my Vmod! :vapor:

(I've had my little felt cushion on for a month now...daily heavy use of the Vmod...and it's still okay. Haven't had to change it out yet!)

AWWWWWSOME! I'd love to see a pic! It's sounds like something that would benefit me as well. Small hands, not fond of edges. Clever fourthrok!

I didn't jump on the Kick clone, but I certainly would like to hear some feedback on it. There are many many posts in this thread on copper tape and how to use a Kick in the VMOD. C'mon, Kick experts, chime in?

Well Forthrok, and more2....
I got my vMod XL on the 1st too.
and like you...I'm sold !

This is a great vaping mod.
A big 18650 battery, nice looks (I got a Black one !) and quality construction...
and a gallon of juice on board...
well, maybe a couple of hours worth for you Forth !:p

Tried the carto first...and it's great.
Then I got crazy and flooded it.
Cleaned it out, and all's well again.

Next, tried the atty...good, but 'like-unlike' you guys and gals...
I don't think it liked my Butter Rum either...very heavy and thick juice.
Cleaned it out, and put it away for awhile...
May try again with my 'Green Apple' this weekend...a thinner juice.
Went back to the cartos.

Like your tip ForthRok...but think I will use some self- adhesive rubber waterproofing membrane I have...
cause the bottom is a little rough on the pinky !

Funny thing in my order...
Ordered a bunch of stuff...including three packs of spare bottles- 9ml.
They sent vMod 2.0 bottles- 4mls ! (those are very small !)
Sent a email off... Jenny responded today, sending 'right' bottles and a mailer for the wrong ones.
all is well here tonight.

I used a Kick from time to time.

Have had copper foil but in the end cheated...well I consider it cheating lol

I have some wire that I have stripped the plastic insulation off the last half inch and one end I trap under the negative connection and the other end I wrap around the spring loop. Only use this with a 18490 that lasts about a day.

Now that said I said sometimes use it. With the 1.5 Shifu really no need with a fresh battery. But hey good luck !

Well, I got in on the sale...
and did it...again
I ordered another vMod XL-
Premium Kit this time
in silver...for the car.
Got the whole kit cause I only have one battery charger,
and I wanted a backup. (too many 18650s)

I am really liking this vMod...
all the juice, big battery...
in one small vaping unit.
Push the button and Vape...simple !
