i would say that this request to continue with the preorder could go to boredom imeo, on the other hand is his business and its products are sold anyway because exceptionals. he is the master and has decision-making power over everything.
i would note, however, that the few who have criticized some of the events such as the closure of a couple of reseller, refunds, delays are all in many forums lists for purchase with payment in advance (preorder) for various - now numerous - clones of the golden greek products.
we talk about ecig, objects no indispensable to our survival, objects worthy of collecting in the case of golden greek, is true, but i find it absurd to complain because a proteus could not get into production on schedule. the chance to buy in preorder it's only advantage, in consideration that this wonderfull object is a extra for our life.
in my case i really appreciated the initiative of imeo preorder, however things go, they allowed me to book all together things that fascinated me for much time.
i would propose at imeo still follow this road that gave everyone great satisfaction, by increasing the price of the preorder with a contribution to African children for whom scarce really the essential food, water and medicine. these are the things that they are waiting indefinitely and without even a forum to complain.

Far as pre-order goes - I think it is a necessary thing for all. No more sites crashing, no more missed items and no more vultures buying up 50 or my GGTS, etc and charging triple the price. Its a win win for all.

Far as adding to the price of things to send to africa - thats what this thread is for - for those that feel the need to donate.

Far as the USA goes - we give Africa several Billion dollars a yr. and several million metric tons of food. That doesnt include private donations. So I think people should decide for themselves if they want to donate or not.

If I had one wish which Imeo would grant me it would be a re-run of the Rev1 Alu GGTS. Brass bottom cap, brass post, brass telescope and brass top cap with 4 in 1 in brass with brass flathead button. I'd order 10 of them :)

That is one of the finest elegant sleek device yet.

Excellent points! I think the preorder is the most fair way to do it and to make sure most everybody gets what they need.

Easier said then done River  My Alu sits in a glass display case and I take it out for the odd vape and polish now and then. I don't think I have the "cojones" to attach it to a power tool and put a wire ScotchBrite to it.

I did this by hand, no power tools and not the kitchen variety ScotchBrite pad. I think it's in the painting section of home improvements.

Hi Imeo, when will you make Ithaka and Achilles available for purchase, will you continue Presale and if not, how will we be able to purchase these items??? Many thanks in advance for your reply!!!

Imeo said yesterday he will continue with the presales but they will be for three days only. He will be, however, giving advance notice.

Well first of all I think you did an awesome job, it looks great. Now frankly I wouldn't mind trying that on one of my new SS TS's either but on a Rev 1 Alu it's a totally different story. I know if I screw it up on the SS I can order replacement parts and fix it but with the Alu Rev1 there is no going back. No way to find parts for that. Trust me River it is a totally different story with a Rev1

Hey Capt, can you see me now w/a scotchbrite pad. Ay yi yi. I would ruin it for sure.

Oh boy are you going to scuff your GG's down ? lol...

Well if you are , go to a auto motive store for body work supplies !! I know this. The scuff pads like the 3m scotch brite pads are rated like this ; the red-maroon pads are = to 400 grit sand paper, so it's ; maroon/red=400 , ect....

Here is a little pdf file , 3m Scotch-Brite hand pads ; http://academic.evergreen.edu/projects/biophysics/technotes/fabric/finish.pdf

I guess if you mess up you can always buff it out..lol... after CPR.....
