My first APV was a Provari before that I used the disposable ecigs. I love the Provari though I had no other APV to campare it to. I used it every day and I didn't baby this device as can be seen in the pictures. My only complaint is with the finish as seen in the pictures it has worn off. Also the head piece is out of allignment due to a few falls. As I said this device was not pampered. I suspect the wear of the finish is due to going in and out of my pocket for over a year. I guess there is something to be said for chain vaping LOL
Anyway I just ordered a new Provari with the gun metal Zenkote. I will post pictures of it after it's 1st year of use. I hope the finish holds up better than this one.

Take your battery out, leave the battery cap off, place a block of wood on the top cap & slightly tap the wood with a hammer. Your top cap should seat nice and straight again.

Yup, did that on mine minus the wood part (should have, the metal here is pretty soft so it dented it a bit.) and my topcap was wayy more slanted, some plastic isoler was sticking out. One sharp but soft tap should be enough.

Sent from Tapatalk, typos its fault.

You know, in certain industries, like denim & furniture, some people pay a high premium for the "distressed" look like that..

My satin black is 6 months old, and is nowhere near that worn.. In fact, it's barely started, and you have to look closely in bright light for signs of wear..

I wish it would hurry up.. :D

Character, my friend!

I got the Satin Silver for two reasons: one, it was a blem on sale (and I have never found the blem) and two, I was told that because is does not have a finish it typically does not show marks and wear. But, as others said, people pay increased prices for clothes and that are already torn and "distressed" Carry it with pride!!!

Personnally I do not like wear and tear marks, scars nor rust on my bikes. But then on an off road motorcylce I would have to accept it to ride it and enjoy riding.

I like my mods clean and without blemishes. But those should not be an hindrance if they work as they should in a proper environement.

Funny how one member mentioned that their black Provari is 6 months old and shows no wear. I also remember mine being that way at 6 months and I was very impressed.
As far as the wear being more of a user issue, if vaping with it every day and taking the Provari in and out of my pants pocket is a user issue perhaps you are right. I definately think the wear is a result of the device going in and ot of my pocket. In any event that worn finish serves as a reminder of how many analogs I have not smoked.

Yeah, I think it's one of those things that once it finally gets going, it starts happening quicker.. Reason being, it creates bare-spot edges for the wear to work off & keep expanding..

Think yours is bad? Check out post #9 from a recent thread on this at the ECF ProVape forum.. Somebody intentionally bought it used knowing full well that it looks like that! Again, character...
