I can only say that for Tile V2.
Yes.
The difference is the internal diameter of the airpipe (is that the correct term?) of the centerpost. The outer diameter of the airpipe is the same. Therefore you can use the same centerpost extension. Thats the reason why you can upgrade your Tile V2 (2.5mm) to an V2 Plus (2.0mm) only by changing the centerpost and the housing (larger liquid channels).

Well that's a relief. I don't mind what size hole as long as it all fits with the basic tilemahos :thumb:

Yesterday 4 couples visited us. All smokers, all interested in vaping. So I showed them my GGs (Esterigon/Penny V4, GG4S/Tile V2+, JustGG/Ithaka ceramic) and my starter set and let them test it.
So here are the results of 5 women (W) and 5 men (M) what they prefer:
Flavor:
- GG: 5W, 5M;
- Starter Set: 0

Button design:
-Esterigon: 4W
-GG4S: 1W, 2M
-JustGG: 3M

Finish:
-matt: 3W, 1M (yes, that's me)
-shined: 1W, 2M
-brass: 1W, 2M

Overall design:
- Starter Set (14mm): 5W (!)
- Esterigon/Penny: 0
- GG4S/Tile: 2M
- JustGG/Ithaka: 3M

Only my wife would buy a Penny. All other women prefer smaller design over flavor! I know, 10 person are not representative, but just an idea for the future. Imeo, with the springomizer technic would it be possible to build a smaller device? Something with a diameter of 14mm (RTA and mod)? Yes, the volume and the batterie would be small, but for the women that doesn't matter. And something like the Innokin U-Can in GG-Slim design for Liquid transport.

gekka, My wife was the same, until i find a little battery to put Penelope on, while waiting Proteus. she's only like 14mm even if it was longer....
Now she's very happy with here Penny ;)
And now i hope that Imeo can made springomizer for Penny V2, so she can made her coil herself

great poll buddy! :)

Springomizer allow us to make shorter atomizers. And thinner too. We can make a 5 mm shorter one and a 14mm wide one. But this requires a lot of testing and time to be produced. Its a job that cant be done right now buddy:)

My wife also love her penny. And she also ask me every day for the penny V4 springomizer (she wants to coil herself, too!). She loves the design of Proteus, but don't like the electronic. So she hopes Imeo will create a mechanical top-side button for Proteus too. But she would love a smaller devices with GG-flavor and quality.

Sure! :thumb:
And my wife will only be happy with the same flavor like Penny. But what I want to say is, that we/you should not forget that there are GG-lovers who think that Just-GG, Ithaka and Proteus are typical toys for the boys.

And since she loves her Penny, I have no problems to buy new GG-Stuff for me! But here and there new more female/elegante devices would be great (e.g. GG-Slim).

Take in to consideration this is 8 turns on a 3mm wick, thats a lot of coil to get air to which is why I went for the 2.5mm version.

This is indeed a good point, 2.5mm sounds better to me.

I don't know how many springs you have, or if you are able to do so, but pushing the coils to the centre and trying to get them to stay there so they are more densely spaced over the air hole may give you a better result. You would probably need to compress the inner coils of the spring and heat it though to get it to stay in that position.

And this is a very nice suggestion, thanks!
We have about 20 springs, there's definetely room for experiments here.

I hope you get it working. If not, I will buy it off you for €5 so I can try the smaller air hole and make a decision which one I like best

5€ ??!
Hey man, it's already sold out, it's precious!

Thanks for the offer (and for the help, of course), but we are keeping it, we want to play with it a little bit more.
A Tilemahos owner saw the building procedure yesterday and was thrilled by the time it takes - don't know ... 30 secs?

Unfortunately we still have problems in flavor rendition. What I noticed is the first draw after leaving the atomizer still for some time is pretty good, the second is ...hm, and from the third the taste is actually ruined. Tried without any flavor, too, still the same.
I'll try to compress the internal coils, seems promising.

By the way guys, another question: how do you clean these springs?
I mean, ease of build is just one aspect of the whole story, albeit important, at the same time I need to be able to clean these springs quickly and without too much hassle.
I took one spring and tried, it went through the following steps (not a joke):

- boiling EtOH
- vinegar
- saturated solution of sodium bicarbonate
- coke (the soft drink I mean :D)
- acetone
- isopropilic alcohol
- lemon juice
- soap dish + toothbrush

and... nope. No encrustations anymore, obviously, but the center is still black, while I'm able to get Kanthal wire back in pristine conditions with fair ease - at the least for the first days.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

(I have pictures, if needed I can post them, but believe me, next step to clean this spring is a nuclear explosion)

You said:

This is certainly a wicking problem, too much wicking material so it is stopping the liquid from wicking fast enough, when you fire the coil you are getting good flavour at the start because the wick is fully saturated, on the second draw it is dryer, and on the third it is dryer still and you are getting a dry hit which tastes bad.

Use less wick, open the juice control more, use a thinner liquid. You can use distilled water or even a drop of vodka or something to thin your juice if you are using heavy VG. I'm assuming you are using rayon? It seems to work really well. I can't vouch for other types of wicking material.

I'm certain by what you said that you have a wicking problem though. I'm using 70/30 VG/PG in mine with no problems so far. It does work better with 70/30 PG/VG though which I have in my second tilemahos.

The heat will discolour your spring, I put mine through a sonic cleaner then gave it a rub with a towel and it cleared all the gunk from it.

Definitely a wicking problem ...

I received today my order: two 2.5mm rebuildable parts. They work perfectly. The spring resistance reads 0.7 ohm in the way I put it, with no extra-extension of the spring. I didn't notice a difference in flavor in comparison with Ti grade 1 coils. Definitely, it will be my way of vaping. Personally, I don't think Titanium springs will be necessary, because the resistance of SS is low enough.

Lo Zio, if you put fat wick on Tilemahos so you experience wicking problems, I will make a video of how you can avoid this. Also with this method you can make your Tilemahos more airy. Much more airy even if you have bought the 2,5mm version.

ps.....This method allow you to make even smaller resistances in ohms

Received the new rebuildable part and notice that the tool included doesnt fit inside the springs. It doesnt even fit inside the channels of the rebuildable part. What is the inside diameter of the springs to see if I have one that fits.

I received mine today as well, (thanks Jesse, the hand written note was a nice touch) and the brass rod seems to do nothing in particular. As a work around I found a drill bit in my extensive misc. collection that would fit snug in the channels to assemble the unit. I disassembled everything for an ultrasound cleaning prior to use.

My initial impressions, I have to agree with previous posters regarding muted flavor. I typically run .2-.3 Ohms at 30 watts and was able to set this up to match my normal build, but the flavor isn't as pronounced. I will need to experiment with wick density to find the sweet spot, but i fear it wont match the flavor of my normal chimney builds. I will give it a 5 star rating for ease of build, and if for no other reason I will likely continue to use this regularly. I just have to relearn that balance between wicking and flooding.
