Well, I zipped a flame through a piece last night (Unkaman) and it was gold and blue with no gray or white so I used it. Much easier to work with.

Testing a 0.42ohm 28g build right now at 400° on the sx m class.
With the Ti firmware or Ni must be the Ti cause the Ni won't go above .3 will it.

Well, it's possible it wouldn't do that... but nausea isn't anything I ever want to gamble about -- when the idiots at the B&M recommended me 18mg and it made me sick as a goat, then 12mg did the same, it nearly cured me of vaping forever. Fortunately I persevered and got some 6mg so I could start vaping regularly, and now vape at 9 or 10mg.

As I said... if there's even a SLIGHT chance that it COULD POSSIBLY cause nausea, I want no part of it, EVER. When I was in the ER with appendicitis and the pain was about to kill me, I made them give me the morphine half at a time, to make sure it wouldn't make me nauseous.

Costume jewelry, which generally contains some nickel, and 10k gold, alloyed with nickel, turns my skin black as pitch -- if that's not a sign of sensitivity, I don't know what would be. Nickel is one of the most allergenic substances to humans in common use.

Never ever ever believe anything any other individual tells you unless it can be substantially confirmed by others or research.

One thing I have learned from lurking, reading around here is Personal opinion is imposed as Matter Of Fact on most subjects of discussion.

Every Atomizer
Every Wick material
Every Wire type
Every Clone Mod
Every E-liquid
has had its negatives shouted like gospel.

Fact is until You Know, you will never know if the very thing that would have been perfect was missed due to listening to someone else opinion.

If the only way to confirm it is to try it and get nauseous... I'll pass. I don't need to know that badly.

Not that I'm trying to convince you to try nickel (I think most everyone in this thread would say quite the opposite), but I had never heard of nickel making someone nauseous until you mentioned it. Then again, I spent a very short time with nickel before moving to ti.

There's a lot of things that could have caused it, and I highly doubt anyone did enough research to really say it was the nickel causing it.

That being said... 1 week (probably about 40-45ml) in on my Ti/Rayon build and going strong. Enjoying some DIY Strawberry Cheesecake. :)

Anybody here using the IPV3Li and have a bit of experience with it and Ti?

I just got my first batches of Ti yesterday and today... 30 and 32 gauge from RingLord and 28 gauge from Unkamen. I washed both a bit with hot water and paper towels and both seemed very clean to me...

But anyway, for some reason with the IPV3 I can't seem to get a good vape when using Titanium mode... but I can using the Ti in Ni200 mode. Ni200 mode set around 280F and 30J produces much more vapor than Ti mode set between 415-430F even with the Joules cranked up crazy high. I've tried a few different RTAs and different gauges of the Ti wire and it seems to be about the same; though most of my builds have ended up being right around 0.2ohm.

Sounds like they didn't get the resistance-temp curve right for Ti. Hey, if it works fine with the temp offset in Ni mode no big deal. Enjoy!

So far I notice almost no difference between Ti and Ni in terms of vape quality... Ti might have a slightly cleaner taste. Gonna run some Ni and Ti coils for a week or two to see if the Ti actually stays significantly cleaner and see if any other advantages or disadvantages rear their head.

I have no issues with Ni, though, and it's cheaper and easier to get... So unless I get some noticeable benefits from using Ti I'll more than likely stick with nickel. But I want to give it a chance.

Thats the same thing Quantum Mech says. His coils are around .26 and he gets the same vape set on Ni mode at 280 and on Ti mode has to go to 480 he says same exact vape. So about 100 off either way cause I think he vapes nickel about where I do 380-390 but thats with the SX Mclass

Or they copied it from the evic VT which has a screwed up Ti curve too lol.

In nickel mode, the evic VT will output the same vapor at 185c as a dna 40 (which is 232C at the coil measured by Tom)

In Ti mode however, you need to crank it up to 250C to get a similar vape.

Ok, so I bought some spider silk 26 gauge Ti. Took about 15 inches, folded and put in my Milwaukee hammer drill. Twisted it up, 6-7 spaced wraps around a 3 mm screw driver. It was so springy when all was said done I'd say the ID isn't less than 4 mm. Installed on my Lemo 2, came out to .33. Wicked it with some KGD, set temp to 390 on my Vaporshark rdna, no Browny McBrownersons on the wick. Eventually settled on 350°F for the juice I was using. Vapes like a bear! Takes any and all wattage I can throw at it. What do you think the gauge of 26 gauge Ti is after tightly twisting two strands of it?

Missed my point. Reading Medical releases and CDC Docs on heavy metals and metal poisoning, It is highly unlikely one would be effected by Nickel unless they have an actual allergy to Nickel.
However, you can get Titanium reasonably priced off Etsy. I say reasonable as it last much longer than most coil metals so the higher cost per foot balances out.

Mine was $12.95 shipped / 35ft. 26ga.
I'm sure as it becomes more main stream the price will go lower.

Is Ti more forgiving on connections like Kanthal. The shiny stuff or not.
You can get it from the Vape Mesh company in the UK for less then that including shipping and its shiny and annealed. Mine came to $20 for 2 10meter spools shipped with tracking.
