You don't want the wire to glow too much.
You can
A) pulse it in power mode a few times at really low wattage like 7w while in a dark room. Don't let the wire glow more than a really dark fade red
B) set 600F in temperature mode and pulse it a few times this way.
The end result should be the same. Make sure the wire doesn't get white and dull.
I would even recommend you sacrificing a couple of inches and torch them well or pulse them on a dripper till the piece glows bright and learn how that dull grey surface looks like so you know exactly what to avoid.
If you happen to get annealed Ti that doesn't require a treatment, better for you. Avoid pulsing or dry burning all together.
We only pulse and torch for two main reasons: a) the wire is too springy from the spool and/or b) we want to make contact coils so we need a light oxidation layer to avoid shorts.
Remember, when annealing the wire, gold, blue and purple are your friends. Dull grey or white are not.
You'll be just fine
