Unkamen was pretty fast. I ordered 30g and 28g. They just restocked with 26g a few days ago. I ordered some 24g from Amazon and it looks like they will be a week longer than Unkamen.

How do you like the 30g? I've been using 26g, and want to get some more resistance into my dual coil builds, debating between 28g and 30g for my next order.

30g Ti is just a little softer than Kanthal. Unkamen's Ti wire comes on small plastic spools that look like yoyos. Mine was very oily and I had to wipe with alcohol to remove the grease. If you're debating between 30 or 28g, I'd say go with the 28 for a more durable coil that will keep its shape after many re-wickings.

Yeah I had at first considered 30ga, but after a bit more was explained to me about TC, I've decided to go with 28ga, to make sure the resistance stays low enough that it will stay in TC mode. Figure I'll probably start out around .5Ω and see how that does.

I've got 26, 28, 30, and 32. I get the feeling the 30 and 32 will be getting twisted a lot, and the 28 and 26 being used more. The resistance on Ti is higher than I'm used to with Ni. I may do my first Ti coil tonight; I've got the wire but just haven't needed to build anything yet.
Works great!

My wire is from Unkaman as well, and I think its pretty springy. My 1 second zip with a lighter is easy and gets it petfect for me. I was just wiping and wrapping, but I like it better without the springiness.

Roxy! I knew I'd find you here. This Ti wire sounds perfect for you -more resistance than Ni200 and hypoallergenic to boot. I'm just starting to play with TC with the Evolv DNA40. Almost got a SX mini M class but I read that YiHi's Ti mode has problems. Problems I don't need, so I'll stay away from YiHi for now.

Problems? I love the ti mode so much I just got another sx mini from the classies :). The DNA40 is not my chip, lol!

Its nice to finally be using tc without worrying about dropping dead :D

Yeah Hitcat44 and Vlad1 were reporting stability problems in the SXM M class thread. But others are saying the Ti mode works fine. Looks like user error or a messed up upgrade at this point. I'll still wait a while on the YiHi chip since I don't need to struggle and stress. I'm getting very risk adverse in my old age!

It works fine without the Ti test firmware

Just need to lower TP to between 260-280f
