Yeah, but you don't have beaches or islands George. Without water Utah Sun and Arizona Sun pretty much assure short exposure in the summer. When was the last time you laid out in the sun in Utah? OH...there is that trickle of water down the Colorado river not too far away....Maybe you hike the Canyon?

Duane

I don't know for sure Duane but I think you can be arrested for attempted suicide if the Police caught you laying out in the sun here. As far as hiking the canyons... beyond the city limits "There be Dragons" so no hiking for me.

@Tony,

The Index predicts UV intensity levels on a scale of 1 to 11+, where 1 indicates a low risk of overexposure and 11+ signifies an extreme risk.

I believe the index here runs pretty close to 11 most of the time.

I used to think that if a person tanned easily, due to an abundance of melanin, they were protected -- I can sit in the shade with a wide-brimmed gardening hat and STILL get a tan. But my aunt tans even more easily than I do, and used to spend a great deal of time "working on her tan." Until she got skin cancer. Ooops there went my abundant melanin theory. The fact is that people with lots of melanin may resist some of the worst damage that will afflict the fair-skinned right from the get-go, but there is no immunity -- solar radiation can still cause the cellular changes that lead to skin cancer, no matter how dark-skinned you are.

And besides all that... my forearms look like leather -- thanks to gardening!

its no joke George. i am thinking of putting the central heating on...Sucks!!!

Damp cold is the toughest for me to deal with. I went to college in Southern Louisiana and at temperatures around 60F (15C) with high humidity the cold would just cut to the bone an 60 F is not what most would call cold.

When I worked in Alaska I could go outside to smoke a cigarette when the temp was 0 to -10 F in just a long sleeve shirt. No I am not tough but a cigarette at temperatures below 0 F and a humidity level of 2-3 % only lasts about 4 minutes it burns like gunpowder.

Its weird because in winter I dont care about the cold. Its supposed to be cold so that's fine. I lived in CT for 4 years and the New England winter can be pretty serious but I was still outside smoking at -20C or whatever no problem. In summer it just should be warm but here it isnt at the moment. Summers in UK are getting worse I swear..

Born and raised in VT, spent 1 year in Australia (3 months in Brisbane, 9 outside of Perth) and almost 2 in Austin, TX. The one thing I wish I could have brought back from both was the weather.

I told you I didn't want to know :D

Now I'll be in constant fear. Hum, I'm seeing a mole I didn't had last week... ...?

Need to check myself on the mirror

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

a quick visit to the quack will get that whipped off

a couple of needles, lay still while they cut you

no pain but its a bit creepy being able to feel someone slowly cut you whilst explaining to their trainee's .... this is how you do it

since then I avoid the sun and look like a ghost with a tanned head and fore arms :D

Heh... I watched a dermatologist cut an enormous plantar wart from my big toe when I was a teenager; it was completely numb, and really interesting to watch -- it didn't bleed at first, but the cone-shaped hole gradually filled with blood. It didn't hurt till I was about halfway back to the car. :D

I got my Evic-VT today, but not the titanium, dang it all. But I'm reading the little manual, and I must say I'm very impressed with it; the English is actually English, it makes sense gramatically and is spelled correctly. Good job, JT!

I thought my CF4 was heavy when I got it, but the Evic is probably twice its weight; smaller than I thought it would be though, as most vape stuff usually is. It always looks bigger in the pics that give no reference for comparison, like being in someone's hand.

Better to look like a Ghost than to be one. Albeit you should take care with the head and forearms they are not immune to UV either. :2c:

Sitting down, facing forward.
I go to a dermatologist yearly, at a minimum, for what I call a "slice and dice" visit. The slicing doesn't bother me, that darn freeze spray smarts though. It always amazes me how they can just "ski" off what they want without going too deep.
