Wife has declared the velocity rda "not allowed in the house" apparently the fog is too thick for her to see candy crush on her phone lol.

I haven't tried these Ti coils in Ni200 mode yet , still on 100 joules at max of 572F in Ti mode, think I'm growing fond of the cooler vape.
I don't have to worry that I'm scorching my throat or lungs but I am hitting it longer and more often so I am guzzling eliquid at an amazing rate.

I love the Velocity and have been using one with Ti 26 ga .19 ohms on my X-Cube II with the Ni mode setting @ 470F and it is working great. I am also running a Zephyer Buddha Ti @ .19 on the IPV4S with Ti setting and 90 J @ max 572F and it is very good also. Different ways to skin the same cat I guess. I think the Ti on the Cube in nickel mode is a bit better but both are fog and flavor machines and I am really enjoying them both. Wives huh! lol.

I'm at .149 with 6 wrap duals of 26 awg, there's very few things I enjoy more than a nice dense vape and the wife telling me, stop it! This is my 1st tc build on my 1st tc mod, I didn't get interested with the Ni200.

I am pretty much into TC now and Ti is my wire of choice. Like you the Ni just did not do it for me. Still using Kanthal on mec mods and VW/VV boxes but Ti is so satisfying in TC that is likely where I will reside in future. Never really got to like the occasional burnt hit from Kanthal and titanium in temp control now does it for me. Vape on bro.

.226 parallel double 26 gauge Ti in the Smok TFV4 rba. 45 joules, 490° F. OMG, vapes like a dripper. Flavor from Teleos - The Milk is on point. I'm officially spoiled now.

I hope to be able to get the TFV4 full kit soon. I don't understand why they are not more available yet? I have been a fan of Smoketech since I began vaping. The original VCT A1 using the X2 coils was my first sub ohm tank. Then the Pro and TCT so the TFV4 is now in order. Now the VCT' are rarely used. It is amazing how rapidly this industry evolves. Thanks for your post.

Sweet-Vapes | Electronic Cigarettes & Hand Mixed E-Liquids and Fluid Vapes - The #1 USA Online Vapor Store had them yesterday. This tank is a beast although be wary of the top fill mechanism, mine is wobbly and I'm just waiting for the day when the little press fitted pin breaks off or gets loose or bent.

EDIT: fluidvapes is the cheapest and they're in stock

Not that I've seen anyone else building genesis atomizers with titanium, but here are a few notes from me.

Nahaulon - first build with 28g five wraps was perfect. It's been in there a couple weeks seeing use mostly on the weekends.
NextGen - First build was twisted 30g four wraps. Had a nasty hotspot somewhere so I ripped it out tonight and put in 26g plain. Working perfectly.

I still need to build the Shorty but so far I'm liking straight 26g best in everything I've built. Doesn't seem to be much benefit to twisting it.

I've also done:

Raptor: Dual coil 26g five wraps. Perfect first build.
Marquis: Same as above.
Royal Hunter: Did twisted 26g six wraps. Worked great but cloud chasing on a measly 75J wasn't enough for me. Plus it annihilated my batteries.

I have not experienced any issues with the SX350J titanium test release. Using it in my DIY GV Boxer.

Very interesting thread...I'll be the new comer to TC, thinking hard about the Snow Wolf 200 (tips and suggestions appreciated).

From what I've read here so far, looks like Ti is several furlongs ahead of Ni...I'm not sure if I should go with 28 or 30ga Ti or exactly which ga would be best. Since I don't have a TC mod can't say what temp, etc. would be my preferred. I do know that I'm vaping close to .5 ohm Kanthal in the Triton .6 in a Matrix tank at 25+ watts.

I'm a flavor chaser, but I do want some cloud as well...no competition clouds (maybe), so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rumor has it that the owner has all 25 18650 batteries running in series with 00 gauge silver wire!
Now would you put your mouth on that atty?

Would that be considered overkill?

Sitting down, facing forward.
I count 12 batteries on one side and thirteen on the other side. Wonder if he's running them parallel, series or some series/parallel arrangement but the odd number makes anything other than series unlikely. In either case the amount of flame would be interesting if viewed from a safe distance. Wonder if that mod comes with a beltclip/shoulder harness arrangement to make it "portable" and a Nomex suit for when it all goes wrong.

Thanks Scotty for the heads up on the Ti wire.
With no hits on the Snow wolf, thinking maybe the IPV 4 or 4s may be a better alternative...I really don't think I'll be needing 200w.

I expect that it won't do 200W for most Titanium builds anyway. It only has 2 x 18650s. I have the new Smok XCube 2 which also uses 2 x 18650, and is described as 160W. In fact it only does 160W at resistances of 0.2Ω and less. At 0.4Ω, a far more common (single coil) Titanium build, it 'only' does around 120W I think it is. I know that at 0.5Ω it was less than 100W.

Though as you say, it's highly unlikely you'd need even 100W, let alone 200. Theoretically it might benefit the pre-heat in case of a really massive dual coil, but for most coils it's way overkill.

This thread is long, 2 questions.
1:Is Ti a warmer vape then Ni? strangely I can only get a warm vape off single contact coil Ni builds seeing as it's only 50J's where Ti has the option of 100J's.
2:Where are you buying your Ti wire? I'm seeing spider silk on ebay but seems pricey.
I haven't noticed a difference of heat level on anything I've used with temperature control enabled.
