Strange. Mine is like kanthal. Really easy to make coils.

I wouldn't go as far as kanthal in springyness but not far from it. I have a few different Titanium wires and the one from wireandstuff is by far the easiest to work with. Hadn't really noticed it was very "dirty" but I make a habitt of cleaning it with some rubbing alcohol just in case.

ok. have fun then with your 1.5 ohm Ti coils! Or just use it in power mode and stick to kanthal. Whatever floats your boat...

jsuyt for your information, the cloupor wont fire Ti above 0.8 ohms and Ni above 0.5 ohms from the specs although you can probably get it to go higher...

I ask questions, Listen and take advise.

Then I try things just for the hell of it.

Seems like that is pretty much how most people on ECF go about things.

Just got my ipv4s and some .6mm TI wire from sweet spot vapors. I wrapped duals with a 3mmID, 8/7 and it ohmd out at .23 initially. I set it at 400F which came in at 39.9J. The vape is really good from a Mantav2. After awhile the vapor production increased and is on par with my regular K1, 22 or 24g builds. I think flavor overall is better than K1 in a Tugboat, Derringer or Aeolus. The thing that is freaking me out a little bit is I have not gotten a dry hit message. I can feel that a dry hit is coming...that the wicks are becoming dry but no dry hit message and the mod continues to fire. Here is a pic of my screen. Will the mod fire in Joules mode without actually being in TC mode? I did set the resistance baseline with a cold mod and atty. The 2nd time I did it the resistance jumped up to .3. The vape is still steller.

Also, any tips for tuning TI coils on the ipv4s other than quick pulses at 10w in a dark room to barely glow then compress with needle nose? The .6mm from sweet spot vapors has pretty good spring to it for such thick wire. I was a little surprised. I wrapped it on the coil master pen jig and the end closest to the handle was not as tight so needed tuning after mounting.

I am really confused, none of this adds up to me. When you put those numbers into SE they tally properly for Kanthal but not Ti... To get a 0.23 ohm dual build with 22g Ti requires a 24/23 wrap per coil. And at 400F with 40J I don't know how you are getting any vapor at all let alone a really good one.

Am I missing something here?

Nothing personal, just trying to figure it out.

The confusion is because Sweet Spot wire is crappy grade 2 Ti which is unclear from all of the BS they spout about it on their website!

Even G2 Ti doesn't have specs close to Kanthal, actually very close to G1. Run the numbers in SE. @WharfRat1976 's build is waaaay off. Maybe SSvapors sent him KA1 instead of Ti?

I'm here. In a meeting. I will take a pic of the wire box. Def not in TC mode but a great vape. I did set resistance from a cold start.Tried an ni200 build in the Manta too but no luck. Low resistance erroring. Sounds like they jammed me up with bad or wrong or whatever wire. I think my questions will be more related to the ipv4s then the builds...thanks for all the help so far. The mod was firing in Joules mode with that TI anyway...
