Thanks again everyone.

Dave, I can barely fry an egg. That sounds like a nice idea, but probably above my pay-grade at the moment.

When I'm ready to take that step I will contact you ;)

There is of course the initial investment in purchasing the ingredients and supplies. But when you see how inexpensive it is to make your own you quickly realize it is well worth the money. Also you can put together your favorite flavors and make your own custom juice!

Thank you again to everyone. Yes, I have heard the same thing about Backwoods, and I ordered some before I knew of my intolerance to PG. It is a good flavor, but it closes my throat like all PG liquids. So I will try to contact them in the new year and ask about 100% VG with the same flavors.

Is there any problem with not holding the REO Grand upright? Can it be held horizontally? Or is it built to be held upright only?

By the way, I love the thing so far, and now I want a mini wooden one.

If you have BWB on hand that you can't vape, shoot me a P.M. Perhaps I can help you with that problem. :D

Here's another vendor that offers tobacco flavors in 100% VG. I've vaping their sweet tobacco right now and I love it.

I never wanted to make Jan. 1st my first day off cigarettes -- a little cliché, don't you think? So I gave it a go yesterday, Dec 31st.

And I made it!!

I can't believe it. 25 years of smoking... it doesn't feel real yet.

Your first day holds it own importance, the date on the calendar is only a number! One day will turn to two, before you know it weeks and months will pass. Your steps are leading you down the path to a healthier you!
Congrats on your vaping journey! The REO really does make it easy!

Thank you for your encouragement -- really, it's important.

I am strangely emotional about this development.

I don't want to tell my family yet in case I fail, but no one ever thought I could stop.

I understand exactly what you are talking about. You might have a hour or a day that a cig is what you want. It is nice to have a higher nic juice for those times. Many of us have even caved in a smoked a few along the way. It is NOT failure! You will realize that vaping is just what you not only choose to do, but what you want to do! It is about the days you vape, and not about one cig you might smoke along the way!
We are always here. Our help through any rough times is only a post away!

Someone on the forum when I first came on here ( i wish I could remember who it was ) said something that struck a chord with me. Refering to some one who was upset they still smoked xxx amount of ciggs each day or week sence they started vaving.

its not word for word but... they basically said ...Its not the ones you smoke, but the ones you don't smoke that count.

It really seemed to ease the preasure I felt and made not smoking less stressful. I started to see every cigg I didnt smoke as an acomplishment and not the ones I did smoke as a failure.

Good Luck!!!!!!!

I do know what you mean the first day or two with out a cigg I had cravings thru the day . I would do just what your doing and vape thru it. After that I was fine. I did try a smoke on like day 3 or so with out one. I decided than that I was done and it has been down hill from there. It took me 3 months of vaping and smoking at the same time to get to that point.

Good luck!!!!

I like to think that I switched to vaping, rather than I quit smoking. I am stubborn, and it just helps me to think of it that way. I had no intention of quitting when I got my first e-cig, it was more to see what they were all about. When I got one, and realized how much I liked it, the rest was really pretty easy. You CAN DO THIS, and there is lots of support here if needed.

Thanks Harley! For some reason I have a hard time calling you "Big Daddy." Is that weird?

I just said "what the hell" and ordered myself this little thing (along with some 18490 batteries and some drip tips).

I guess I am getting into it...

Thank you redeyedancer. I am looking forward to it. The wood looks very classy -- it reminds me of all the great smoking paraphernalia my grandfather used to have lying around -- engraved bronze ashtrays, hardwood zippo cases, teak cigar boxes on the coffee table. The woodvil sort of looks like it belongs in the 1920s, before everything was mass-produced, especially with that brass fitting.

I've also signed up to be notified when more ebony/ebony wood models are made, those look pretty nice too.
