What I see as 'successful' trolling:

(OP's first post on ecf)
"Just made my first coil, why is the vape so hot?" " It's 0.01 ohms"

OP never responds in their 52 page thread.

Add:
I hate it when threads get moved prematurely, and never get a decent response as a result.
:mods: wait until a thread gets a meaningful response, and then move it!

Good example.

As to your second comment. Would you not expect to get more meaningful responses if the thread is in the right place, as opposed to in a "catch all" kinda place?

Tough choice, move it too soon and it gets buried and not noticed....leave it be and get off the wall responses.

Good thing it's only mods that have to worry about it.....:)

Since this has evolved into a suck up to the mods thread at the moment ;) , I have a question. I reported this thread and nothing happened. I'm sure this (perhaps) troll left bitterly disappointed. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/617020-heeellllloooooo-ecf.html I'm still laughing about it.

LOL, that was the longest hello I've ever seen :)

OTOH, I wouldn't call it a troll. I try to give the benefit of the doubt and it could just be the person's sense of humor. I suspect a few more posts will tell the tale.

Classwife can do everything!....I am waiting for the time travel machine but she is busy at the moment, so we will have to wait....It's OK, I am tracking the wait time so that it can be factored into the time travel equations....

    Types of trolls...

That link is priceless! I've seen every one of those, on news comments.

    Trolls - and their allegiance

It is a definite yes that all the "insert conspiracy theory spy entity here" constituents are here present and not accounted for. They may in fact be being helpful, if they are here making the effort to gather enough material to damage vaping in general or form some kind of report I do not think they would sabotage the time investment by trolling. But that's just me.

Unless they were to represent themselves as a clueless vaper who always tasted grammas skin when vaping  (sorry just had to sorry if it goes over your head)

    As for the moderator sucking up/bashing or whatever;

These people are doing work for no pay, on their own time (or their bosses time). They are following their own set of rules, just like we are supposed to follow the rules that apply to members. If you think you can do a better job then you should apply when they need moderators and do so. If you think they are just doing their job poorly, see previous statement. If you just want to complain and be difficult... Hello Troll.

Rules, I will have to admit, I have not read them. (Is that breaking a rule in and of itself?) I keep meaning to but man, that is a lot of words and I have limited time. There are these people called moderators, as long as I am not too much of a jerk I shouldn't have to worry, and if I am one of them will be kind enough to point me to the specific rule that I broke. I did read the classiffieds/co-ops rules. :p

You can post there - you just cannot start posts there! Because you are an established elite vaper with a huge post count. In a month you'll also be a veteran with all the old-fart connotations that has.

    Just gets better doesn't it?

    T

 Are you suggesting that the Veteran moniker garners an instant "not trying to hear that..." reaction for those endowed with savant e-cig abilties in utero?

Read: What do you know, old fart?...I was smarter than you before I was born....
