New fan of BWB RY4...questions on Casablanca.

So my first order w/BWB i got my hands on RY4...Just fell in love w/it right out of box and got better as days went on. This became my FIRST ejuice I fell in love w/and a must have.

After running out of RY4  and not being able to order any more...ordered Casa based on so many positive reviews. Out of the box, i could not vape it for long. It was very dry, fumey and "different". Next day same thing. after 5 days steeping I could vape alot more of the juice but still kinda burned my nose on exhale.

I know many folks love this juice and I want to like/love it as well. I'm not hating on this juice just want to know what my expectation/expereince of this juice should be. Does this need longer steeping time? Will it mellow out and not be as dry down the road?

Also, knowing I LOVE RY4 what other Don's juices would be comparable?
Does all of Don's juices need several weeks to steep? Any that is good right out of box?

Hey DMitch. The Casa sounds like it needs a little more "steeping" time. I'd try another week (IMO). Don's tobacco flavors, benefit from steeping time. I usually give mine a week or two. Fruit flavors, to me, are usually good to go right out of the package. Everyone is different with this, just like tastebuds. It's an experimentation thing. Try it again in 5-7 days, then you can decide if it's good, or you want to give it a little more time, or maybe it's just not "your thing". Hope this helps ya. (There is also another thread for BWB juice that alot of us "Fans" are on here). You should be able to find it when you type bwb crew in the search box). Questions, comments, and BSing is what we do best. Don (bwb juicemaster) stops by to answer questions too. I think it's under Backwoods brew ordering thread.

DMitch, Casablanca, whether steeped or not, is not a flavor for everybody. It is what I like to call "Papa Juice", because I think it is something my Papa would've liked. It is a very bold, spicy, earthy, and complex. It is not sweet and many people will just not like it. I bet it is closely related to whether people like drinking black coffee or not...you either love or you don't. Just my thoughts. I happen to love black coffee and also CASABLANCA ;)

Thanks for your input Mr. Mann and I am in agreement w/you. I don't like black coffee, need cream & sug
I have been trying Casa each day and I'm beginning to enjoy it a bit more...at least it's not burning my nose on exhale! (maybe due to letting it steep a little). It certainly is "different" & "complex" but not in a bad way. Maybe as time goes w/vaping I will EVEN like it more than Don's RY4....NAH JUST KIDDING! But who knows, I started on fruity & sweet juices initially w/vaping but now find myself wanting more of a tobacco base for all day and every now and then something sweet for about 5mins...weird!

I got last Sat Don's RY4 (my 2nd order from him)...I absolutely LOVE this juice!!!! I am experimenting 20 drops of Ry4 w/20 drops of Casa and letting it steep for week and see what it taste like.

question...when Don does have RY4 in stock does he offer bigger bottle than 30ml?

question...can I AND my wife each buy our own bottles of RY4 or does that go against his policy?

Don has said that the RY4 is gone for good. It may or not be the case, but all we have to go in his words. I think it is safe to assume that your RY4 will not be replenished.

The RY4 or any of his limited quantity juices were only available for purchases of 30mls and under, if I am not mistaken. And, I believe it was also "one per household".

Correct on the "one bottle" per customer, and for bottle sizes 30ml and less. He may or may not have it again. From what I've read and heard, at least one of the ingredients is almost impossible for him to get. ( This is why there is a limit of 1 bottle per customer, and so others can get to "at least" get one bottle and/or get to at least try it, before it gets totally discontinued). Don has said before that anyone trying to "get around" his 1 bottle per policy, will have their orders cancelled by him. He tries his best to keep everyone happy, and get "a bottle", but doesn't appreciate when people don't follow his "rules" about this. Just DON'T ask him about any future availabliliy on RY4 or Ejoker. It's a sore subject, that has been going on since it became so hard for him to get the ingedient(s), and to keep all that like/want it happy. Just my :2c: . I'm just stating what I've read, or have been told.

haha!!!! I second the suggestion if not warning on trying to talk to him about it. It is one subject that some of us know not to approach with him. Give the man space on the RY4 and E-Joker availability questions! And remember, check the classifieds or reviews of people saying how much they don't care for it. I got close to 30mls from someone who said in a post that they didn't care for RY4, so I bought them a bottle of their choosing of equal mls for a trade.

I've got honey flue, and I would have to say "no" to them being close. (That's just my taste and opinion). I don't think that he has anything else currently, that comes even close in taste. I'm hoping that he will work on something similar to his RY4 in the future. The biggest thing about this, is that he would have to find "really good" ingredients, that could resemble a good (and maybe a close to old) RY4 flavor, and that it would be flavors/ingredients, that would be readily and easily available to him, without any issues. The only other thing that I can say....is to enjoy and savor those last bottles that you have!

DMitch, I have not tried either of the Honey Flue (Nut), but I can say you are not going to find anything comparable to the RY4. You may find something from another vendor that you like more (doubt it) but not necessarily comparable to BWB RY4. I must say though, 555 Exotic, and Backo are my all day vapes. Both of those are just absolutely all I want in a vape: bright, punchy, clear, subtle, complex, not sweet, etc. So, in the end, the RY4 is what it is, GREAT! But, it is by no way shape or form going to diminish the quality of any of his other offerings because of its greatness. After all, the other juices are all made by the same mind and hands!

Dmitch, try Casablanca? Theres nothing out thats really like Don's RY4... unfortunately... but I've found some awesome all day vapes out there. I've done quite a bit of juice testing... for a while there, I would try a new vendor every week or so... PM me if you're interested in hearing what I have to say...

I'll take a stab at that one...but it won't be easy. Honey flue nut is in my opinion one of the "lighter" tobacco flavors that Don makes. Of course I think a lot of BWBs flavors are more subtle than similarly named flavors from other vendors. Personally I think thats a good thing. Some of the vendors just overdo it, especially on anything sweet. Other honey flue tobaccos I have tried are more honey than tobacco which is not what "the real thing" tastes like. Not the case with BWB Honey Flue, its a light tobacco base, a hint of honey and a hint of nut (if you order the honey flue nut that is). With some steeping the tobacco will become a bit more pronounced, but nowhere close to what happens with RY4 over time. I like it a lot, and since its available most of the time, I actually vape more of it than I do RY4. Also, it does a nice job handling the occasional analog craving.
