Thanks. The battery just seems to take forever to top off... it did finally fully charge overnight, the light was green this morning. Just for example, I got to work this morning and plugged the VS in after using it for about 1.5 hours (from fully charged), I'd estimate that it was at about 75% full. It has been plugged in now for about 2 hours, and it's still not fully charged.
I'll get in touch with VS support later today, thanks for confirming what I already thought. A 1200 Mah battery charging at 500 Ma shouldn't take forever to charge...
Unfortunately, Lithium Ion batteries are not charged at constant current from empty to full. There's a portion of the charge cycle from empty to the point where they hit 4.2V that the charger can just throw 500 mA at them, but this only gets you maybe 70-80% charged. The rest has to be done at constant voltage, at an ever-decreasing current, until the current drops below some rather small threshold value. That means after say 2 hours, you're mostly charged, but it can take another two hours to put the last 20-30% of charge in before the red light turns green.

This also means if you use a mostly fully charged until while charging, it will look like it's charging almost indefinitely, because you're vaping that last little bit of charge that can only be put back at a very low rate.

Anyway, if it goes green after 3.5 hours or being left alone (such as overnight) I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

I'd say heavy vaping at home, might get 1.5 hours. 20 pulls an hours should last a lot longer, of course.
I think it would be far better to describe a battery or mod's capacity in terms of how many ml of juice you can actually turn into vapor on a charge than to try to describe it in terms of hours or even pulls, because people's vape habits the power levels they vape at are so dramatically different. There should be a pretty decent correlation between the "juice" pulled from a battery (or mod) and the volume of e-liquid turned into vapor.

I sub ohm at 0.5-0.6 ohms at 24 Watts with an Origen v2, so not sure. But my "normal" resistance vaping is with Spheroids. I'd say you can go through about 2 Spheroids on a full charge, so figure about 4-5 ml at 1.4-1.5 ohms and 11-12 Watts.

Great information, thanks for the reply, it does make more sense now. I am going to time how long it takes to charge from almost completely drained, it it exceeds 4-5 hours, I'll give Vapor Shark a call.

Anyone else notice that the Vapor Shark DNA-30 at toddsreviews.com has the original case as well? I'm wondering how many people have it and don't realize it.

That's my exact experience. I'm rolling 30ga 1.5 ohm in my spheroids for the VS and get almost exactly two full spheroids before I have to charge. Pretty damn good in my book.

One of the improvements for the DNA-30 version is an "Improved Internal Support Structure". If it is using the casing from the DNA-20 version, you won't have those improvements anymore, whatever they are.

Here are photos from my VS DNA-30, a screenshot from the toddsreviews.com video, and a screenshot of the VS DNA-20 from tasteyourjuice.com. Honestly, I can't see any differences, but maybe someone else can.

Just for fun I thought Id post some of my thoughts since my VS purchase.

I planned for this device to be a work desk device. Something small and inconspicuous that I could use as a pass-through, negating my worries of short battery life. Best laid plans as they say. That has not at all been its destiny.

Recently (a few days ago) I got a ZNA. Really, the VS was a stop gap until the moment arrived where the ZNA came home to poppa. The ZNA stands out over the VS as incredibly refined and absolutely beautiful. The problem is, I never use it. Well, not much anyhow. Over the month or two that Ive owned the VS Ive only managed to run the battery down to unusable levels twice. Its just so incredibly handy that wherever I am I can plug it in, thus keeping the vaping volts alive. The ZNA on the other hand barely makes it through the trip to and from work, about 35 minutes each way.

The VS, is already showing signs of wear. It has two small paint chips. The black chrome button is wearing through to a shiny silver underbelly. The paint job from the beginning was sub par imo. Almost as if it wasn't even painted in a properly ventilated paint booth with little bumps and imperfections evident. The up and down buttons are both kinda mushy and no longer have a positive click.

Using it with a Spheriod built to 1.2 ohms at 16 watts gives this little thing pretty dang stellar battery life. It functions perfectly every time I push that button. The USB seems plenty strong and sturdy, so far, even using it in pass through mode daily. I do have trouble keeping the USB firmly planted inside the socket, at times the cable annoyingly falls right out.

In the end, its the ultimate run around utilitarian mod. Never felt I needed to keep it gorgeous because, well, it was never all that gorgeous. So far, so good. I love the little thing. Use it all day every day.

The ZNA, well, I love it also. It will just never leave my shelf next to my lazy boy. I vape it when watching tv or movies. Its dead by the time the movie ends anyhow. Man, is it sexy though, what a stunner. Stoked I have it and do not regret the purchase at all. It just pales in comparison to the VS in terms of utility and stands above it everywhere else. The ZNA oozes quality, and sadly the VS, after a little wear and tear does not. Oh well, nothing wrong with owning the beauty and the beast :)

Well, thought i was going to pull the trigger on this one.... I did , but wont allow us Canadians to order ....??? However the charges went through on my Credit card. Called the store and they assured me that no charges will go through.. ( i will be watching and making sure..

I guess the irritating part is that if my CC will process the charges , why wont vaporshark.. ??

Guess theu have lost my business... because i will not pay for Wire charges and international shipping also .... adds $60+ to the total... and to be honest with you i dont think it is really worth $240+ canadian ... considering the battery, and other issues people are expieriancing.

Well i will get on the Hanna Modz wait list and go from there

Sorry the business plan didn't involve North of the Border Customers

:( So disapointed

Got my VS 30 about a week and a half ago. I was using a ego twist and boge cartos for about 14 months. Then got a vamo v5 and just about every clearo on the market. Was pretty happy with that. Then I got my first KFL clone, which I hated at first because making coils is a pain. But then I got my first Mech, a Nemesis clone..then another..then "other" KFL clones...yadda yadda yadda. Anyway, I loved my mechs for the 2 months I had them. But i could not STAND having the lightsaber in my jean pockets all the time. I don't vape a ton so a 18650 would last me a day no matter what.

Then the VS came. This is the device for me. I could not believe how small it was. It is everything I want. It isn't annoying as hell in my pocket. It will fire just about anything I put on it without having to adjust posts. It lasts all day(for me even with .8 ohm rebuildables). To me it really is freaking awesome. I cannot stress enough how much the size and what it does is amazing to me.

And last but not least, I bought it with Bitcoins! :D

Cool. From what I can tell, VS seems to be getting these out on time.
