I just took some of my tape rimjob, but i forgot my password for tapathingy.
I hate having 15 different parameters for passwords... doodie mcdoodieheads.
Takes 5 seconds to cut thin strips of electrical tape and use it as weatherstripping. Best part- cant be seen from the outside. Stull full battery access if you need it.
what it is!?

Interesting. Thanks!!!!!

Interesting. Thanks!!!!!
Roger, the other side is done the same but the componets are in there and it'll never be opened other than the stripping.
But like i was saying last night, its probably overkill, to a point. But, an ounce of prevention never hurt anyone.
I will add, i didnt tape from the bottom half down, for battery venting.

what it is!?

Well I cracked at the Cybermonday sale and jumped on the wagon.

Still feels a bit risky, but what the hey I've got other mods

Check your terms. You have assault rifle confused with assault weapon. They are not interchangeable.

Assault Rifle is loosely translated from the WWII German sturmgewehr aka STG or MP44 etc etc. Hitler himself coined the term. In practice it refers to a rifle or carbine sized firearm that fires an intermediate sized cartridge (that means smaller than a rifle round but larger than a pistol round) that is (this is the big one) capable of select fire. Select fire meaning the operator can switch between semi automatic or full auto/burst.

Most modern and contemporary military rifles conform to this definition including the M16 and Ak47.

Assault Weapon by comparison was an artificial term developed by politicians that typically appears to be an assault rifle but is usually just semi automatic. Of course the term is also thrown around very loosely by the media and politicians to mean anything that looks scary. This term is largely considered offensive in the firearms community because of its negative political connotations, in addition to it largely referring to aesthetic features of a firearm, not functional ones.

Assault Weapon may have a legal definition depending on which state you live in. It has not had any Federal meaning for about a decade now.

Sincerely,
A long time gun collector, builder, advocate and otherwise over educated and a slightly liberal leaning person.

Select fire being the key here. Civilians can't buy a modern select fire weapon.

-Typed on my assault keyboard (it's black and scary).

Very true. It seems like the haters are much louder while those with good experiences are too busy enjoying the product to praise.

6 days with my rDNA 40. It's been my daily device since and no issues even trying it at 40w for an hour. Swapped batteries, charged wirelessly, charged via USB, swapped from Ni200 to Kanthal and back. It just won't glitch. I must be the luckiest guy on earth. Need to go buy some lottery tickets because these devices are usually so buggy. (<--sarcasm)

That's freaking great man. I hope I get that lucky. What kind of atty are you using? Also are you doing compressed or spaced coils? I plan on running mainly kayfuns and Russians on mine.

Hehe. KTM you luck son of a. In threads I frequent, im well known for my extraordinarily bad luck when it comes to buying vape gear. Even when buying for high end vendors, just somehow my units are always lemons. SOMEHOW. mods. Atties.... My glitchy dna40s.....

As further proof, today I picked up my chalice 3, and one of the airholes is only semi drilled out. Yes. A chalice 3. Of AAAALL the units sold, and from the amazing Mark Bugs, I continue to follow my tradition of receiving lemons. Face palm.

I've tried 2 KFL+ (v1 and v2) and a dripper with ni200. The kanthal build was on a KFL+ v2. I have a 9 wrap 28g ni200 spaced on the v1 and it's amazing. I built the v2 with 11 wraps and it's shorting somewhere so it's not so great and I get temp protect all the time with very little vapor or flavor. Both are on a 2.78mm drill bit (3/32). I tried a twisted 30g and it wasn't that great. I have about 3 tanks on the 9 wrap and it's pretty awesome.

When I took off the twisted 30g, there was a very slight singe in the rayon from the 40w tests (TP off).

^^^^^ I know the feeling, I've had to return 2 iPhones, 1 imac ( the big silly one!) , a laptop and my VS DNA40. Not sure why I have such luck, I'm a really nice guy, I treat others nicely, why me??

I in now way am a person that feels sorry for myself, I just chalk it up to delayed gratification!!

To hell with delayed gratification; I want my toys and I want it now! Hehehe

That said, I have no clue why I have such awful luck when it comes to buying gears. Shakes head.

On the other hand, I just sold my flask! Whoopee

Yeah I only ordered 28 g ni200 so will just be experimenting with single coils for the first few days. I've always wrapped compressed microcoils so this will be different doing the spaced coils. I saw a photo in the ni200 dna coil thread where someone used a screw to wrap spaced coils. Interesting stuff.

You have to trick the battery meter to show the correct reading in temperature protection mode according to this post on Vapor Shark's Facebook page.

Vapor Shark Hello Josh, The metering happens in real time only when the device is firing. If you are using a nickel coil and temperature control, you will notice that the meter will behave a bit erratically. Here is why, it is giving you a forecast of remaining battery life based on the last wattage level the device was outputting. Let's say you have a ni200 coil set to 420 degrees and 35 watts. At the beginning of the draw you will likely be close to 35 watts but as the coil comes to temperature the wattage level will be reduced to let's say 6 watts. When you let off the fire button the last wattage output was 6 watts and the battery meter is reflecting a remaining battery life forecast for 6 watts not the 35 watts. That is why, after 16 hours of use, you're still seeing a full battery. You can get an accurate reading if you just let the Wattage spike for the first second and then looking at the meter.

Thanks for the info. I just checked using that method and it is a little bit reduced but still excellent. I imagine with temp control dropping it down after the burst the battery should last longer regardless. So far so good!
