Even with the skin on I have button rattle. I don't really care about that, though.

Really? I should have mine Monday or tuesday. No rattle on my dna30...
it wouldn't bug me any,so long as it's as tough as my vsdna. the dna is built tough. I'm hesitant to say as tough as my provari (ran it over a few times in the truck ) but significantly better than most higher end mods I've owned or seen.

Just got my rDNA in last week and have been using it for close to a full week now. I've owned a VS dna 30 for several months and WOW, what a difference a replaceable battery makes!!!

Don't get me wrong, I loved my VS DNA when I first got it and I still love it today, but the rDNA was definitely a great move for VaporShark IMO. With the two side-by-side it's almost as though one form-factor is made for women and one for men. I know that's not how it was intended, and both are adequately sized for either gender (pun intended :p), but I can tell you that when the rDNA got here, the first thing my wife did was tell me that we could take the original VS DNA and "call it hers now" instead of just her stealing it from me...sheesh...I need to hide my stuff better, heh.

The boxes are made in China. The chip is made in the United States (actually I have heard conflicting information on that) and then everything is put into the boxes here.

Shouldn't be conflicting. The boards are manufactured here in the US. Here's a tour of their two facilities in Ohio!

EDIT: For some reason, I can't link to the exact time when the tour starts. FF to 7 minutes. The first part of the video is about a non-related product. Thanks Phil

No, the evolv DNA boards are completely made, programmed designed and built in the good ole US of A.
Evolv vapor has done thr impossible by sling Us technology to China. And being and electrical engineer I cart help but totally love them for that.

Oh, well that is great. I had someone tell me that they might just be assembling them. The only thing that struck me odd is that they don't say "Made in the USA" when everyone else in this industry is shoving it in your face. There are many legal requirements before someone can put "Made in the USA" on their products. I think its like 90% of every item that is used to assemble your product.

On a positive note, they did install a little something to protect the battery from being damaged in transit, which is nice to see. Some piece of metal was causing dimples in batteries during shipping, so that is not a concern anymore, thankfully.

What did they install in order to eliminate the dimples on the battery? As an early buyer I didn't get this add on, and there are dimples forming. I do turn the battery every once in a while to avoid this issue.

Not sure, but it looks like some type of hard Styrofoam or something. It is sloping down from the battery door. Whatever it is looks like it was put overtop of that machined piece that was doing the damage.

I took some pictures for you. This sharkskin is nice and a pain to get off. lol IMG_4512.jpg

May have something to do with printing on a board that most people won't see once it's installed is kind of a pointless expense. or lack or room on the board or could be their general attitude. Most things "made In the USA" **cough cough FORD ** have one piece made in the USA.
I actually appreciate the fact that that don't wear It like a billboard like some of my other USA made gear...

Fords aren't made in the USA, nor are they labeled as such, because that would be against the law. They don't use it on their site or in any marketing materials. The reason these people that are legally able to use it do so is because its a hell of a marketing tool. I am just saying that has always struck me as weird.

I was trying to make an off handed slightly humorous point...

It must be me..... at least a mod didn't get involved with this one
On another thread we were discussing Vietnamese food, which I love BTW. And I made the joke That I named my dog "banh mi." Which is directly translated to bread but that's also what they call a sandwich on a Vietnamese menu... to me it's an obvious joke.

Because "banh mi" is spelled close to "bang me" I got treated like I was in the 7th circle of hell.
Then corrected about it's direct translation.
Jesus hates me.

It's no where close to a ProVari. Looks are deceiving with this rDNA. The metal case makes it seem durable but it's a fragile little thing.

Oh crap, seemed to be as durable as the DNA when I saw one in person. It's at least as durable as the hcigar which is fine. Plan is to use the provari for those times I need the durability -ie outdoor activities - and the Edna for normal everyday use.
The DNA has taken some fairly serious falls and she's fine a vamo or a sigelei would be doa by now. I realize the provape is almost indestructible and not expecting that level of durability. I ran over that mod not once but 4 times and it's fallen in the pool.... hardly a scratch on it. It's just that hydrogen Great for a tank; but I don't vape with a tank much anymore and the form factor + power of the VS is perfect for me.
