My local shop was doing a pre-order for the Vaporshark rDNA 40 and ordered the dna 40 version on accident.

When the mods came in he called and told me of his mistake and I told him I was not worried and would wait for the rDNA version with the wireless charging and replaceable battery....

Well curiousity got the better of me and I went down and looked at this little box... I liked it. So I told him to keep me on the list for the rDNA 40 but bought the dna 40 anyway... It does not have the wireless charging and you are stuck with the battery that is installed, but man do I like it....

At first I thought the Kangertech Subtank mini would be to large for it so I got a Kangertech Subtank Nano and some of the Ni200 coils and was pretty happy with it... Then after the second fill in just a few hours, I built my first Ni200 coil on the RBA section of the mini.... I am not dissapointed...

The Nano does look more appropriate on it, but the Mini isn't to big as I thought it would be; it's actually a good fit...

I don't have a ton of experience with it, and I have only built one Ni200 coil, but I had no trouble and it is working great so far...

It has a charging feature that will charge the battery very fast, I plugged it into my phone charger plugged into my cars cigarette lighter on the way home and it was almost fully charged by the time I got home, less than 20 minutes....

The battery guy in me thinks this is a bit worrisome, but I am hoping that is the reason they put a non-replaceable battery in it, and the battery is properly matched to the ability of what they described as a "zip charger" in this thing that makes charging very fast...

As long as this holds true, plug this thing into a high capacity USB port and it will charge in less than an hour...

I have not had time to build any drippers with the Ni200 wire, but I will be traveling a lot over the next couple weeks, and while I am waiting for the rDNA 40, I may take the drippers with me and give it a try as I sit in the hotel with nothing better to do...

Anybody on the fence about getting a DNA 40 device, I say get one, and you will be a happy vaper....

Im super stoked to get mine, i can say that for sure. I kinda got shafted with a fullsized subtank, but im virtually getting it for free, so i cannot complain and the extra juice capacity will be nice i think for me, i know it wont look right.but hey, if its free, its fro me. I did a check on usps, and it left the cincinnati sort facility at like. 3:30. but the predicted delivery day is thursday. you guys think i could get it today instead? post drop is another 6 hours off, but typically, the package needs to be there by 7 or 8 to makeit on to the truck for the days drops. hopefully it comes today >.< my neck of the woods is about to get slammed by a winter storm and gut feels says that if it dosent come today, itll get delayed

How long did it take to ship?

So, mom ordered saturday mid day. i got the confirmation email with shipping code monday around 8 am. and then that tracking number didnt register with usps until about 14 hours later, its now IN cincinnati on the way to my post office, so if it gets here today, itll be a day ahead of schedule and two days shipping from miami. i dont know why my mom thinks its best to wait till a damn saturday to order, but i figure if you order in the middle of a buisness day, or slightly before noon, money down says it will be in your mail slot within two days as long as you arent in the pacific time zone. lol. just a guesstimate though.

Here's some size comparison for you guys! Vs dna30 and the vs dna40.

I've got a thing for vaporshark mods. Love em. For small devices their feel is great and the quality is great!

So I got my DNA 30 and am HIGHLY impressed. Now I'm jealous of you all with the 40's... Haha. Got a skin for it, so my carry size us probably the same as the 40's with no shark skin. Exactly flush with a KFL+.

So small and convenient to carry!

Now I have:

-DNA 30
-rDNA 40
-Provari 2.5 mini
-Provari P3
-iStick 20

And I can't decide what to throw my atty's on any given day!

Right now I'm loving the P3 and the DNA 30.

Look how short/small it is next to the P3 in 18490 mode!

Haha - honestly I'm not sure! I used to first upload to photo bucket for each pic, but I just started using the Tapatalk app where you tap the camera, then choose your gallery.

But I'm not sure if that's it or not...

on the phone with VS now. it took 30 seconds for diagnostics to tell me i have a defaulty usb port. :'( im so upset. i just .....ed out some dude on the phone for the past 15 minutes. i am FURIOUS. they are doing upgraded expedited shipping acrossed the board and a new second sharkskin for free. but the fact that i have to already send this device back is absolute crap and will forever leave a sour taste in my mouth for vaporshark.

They've had ALOT of issues lately. But most caused by Evolve.... Imagine how mad they are at Evolve! What would you do if you were them? Move to Yihi boards? Frankly that's what I'd do...

Oh and I'm very sorry to hear the bad news. Truly, that sucks...

WAIT JUST A DANG MINUTE, 25 minutes ago it was at half charge, no moving around on the charge at all over time. but i just randomly glanced at it 20 minutes later, and its fully charged. what the ....? could it being shipped in the cold have screwed that over and letting it warm up made the fix?

vaping successfully on it now at a .77 ohm fogger. i couldve sworn i had it built to .8, but of friggin well. haha. i just went from really mad to really happy :D at least now i know, if it breaks, i can get free stuff ^.^ vaporshark is okay in my book. i dealt with mike through diagnostics, got victor when i called back through and he transferred me back to mike so he would know the whole story.

I do personally always let electronics warm up slowly before plugging then in. I'm usually mostly worried about condensation myself. So glad it worked out!

thanks bud :) so far i am beyond happy with it. its a really nice device, the sharkskin is really nice too. it gives it this like "stick in your hand feel"
Sometimes, i will just randomly drop things especially if they are really slick. like my zna clone. i dont fear dropping this thing. it feels sturdy. and wow, does VS have some sweet customer service. i was angry, but they were so cool and understanding.
