I got a 19 off the classies and am surprised how small it is... I have a question about the pos post.
Mine came with a knurled nut with some fixed washers under it... the post has merely about 3 threads in it and it seems to be cut at an angle (?)...
I'm used to small working area (Cobra 3ml) but on the other hand I use 28g wire exclusively... I'm also used to lots of room a la iHybrid post. 28 is pretty thick...
I'll give it a test and be right back LOL after i get my chores done

The 19 came with a couple extra phillips screws... and some orings...and a small allen wrench which i don't know why (?) (oh it fits the one filled hole... would that be an optional wick hole?

.the wick hole looks barely 1mm away from the pos. post.... kind of worried about that..

small change to the center post , added knurling to the positve terminal , added a thumb nut to tighten . and a thicker positive pole going through the body.. the thicker post plus the addition of being brass will aid in better conductivity . i still have stainless steel in this size of post as well . plus i think it gives it a nice finished look

In mine when the knurled nut is closed, there is a 2mm hole in the top, whereas the photo shows the brass threaded post sticking out the top about a mm... leading me to think its been cut or broken off somewhat; it still leaves a minimal amount of room to fit some 28g so I think i'll be alright... hope

Get with jherron for replacement parts, worst case s... he may ask you to send it back to him for repairs. Either way, you will have your stratus back up to stock specs.

2. the wick hole seems dangerously close to the pos post? (even with the wick in the tank seems close to post) *when i put wick in there is no way its not touching the top nut washer ring

Looks like the positive post was replaced to me but let the maker answer that question to be sure...

Looks like mine uke, and you can space the wick off from the post if you are concerned by hitching your top coil, especially if you are using something sturdy like 28 ga. I find a 3/4 of 30 on a solid wick is around 1 ohm for reference, in case you want to try it.

Ok...quick update. jherron and his wife both had some sort of virus over the weekend, but both are feeling better now.

He is finishing up the 19s.

"pos post brass threads seem cut off at an angle", take a look at page 57 post #540, middle photo ... from this photo, I'm getting the impression that the brass pos post is also cut at an angle ... might just be the norm.

"the wick hole seems" ... the norm size for the wick hole is 2.5mm, on yours, it looks like "it's big", maybe the original owner drilled it out some or requested a 3mm wick hole when it was being built.

"knurled cap ... there's a hole" ... lost on this one, the Stratus I have, is before theses upgraded changes, checkout page 10 post #94, this is the Stratus I have.

I started out with the dual wick option, page 10 post #94 , later jherron changed the lay out to a u-wick, page 23 post #221. This my current lay out. Works out well for dual wicks & the u-wick.
