The meter is used to adj the variable voltage.
To ck voltage to atty and drop in voltage when triggered.
To ck the voltage from the source and the drop at the source when triggered.
To do this it needs to be on its own mini circuit and switch.

BJ43, thanks I appreciate the clarifications, things were getting confusing.
I understand what you are saying now.

I think the other guys while being very helpful (thank you) are focused on a 5 pin lipo and batteries and it's mixing up the wiring.

Ok frustrated now. The box is working just fine, I get vapes on both attys with the rocker switch but as soon as I go below 6.2 volts the display goes away and will not reappear until I go over that mark.

I could only get it to display something if I connected both the red and green to the same output, if I do red or green only I get nothing.. I am not sure what is going on ... ???

here is what I have so far, I can't go below 6.2 or the display shuts off but it works LOL

The 2.5 DC connector is a light up version (the blue light inside) and the meter is inside the box, it's aeasier to see in person than on the photo and not obnoxious at all. Very nice, the rocker lets me switch from a Go-go to a 510 threaded carto tank.

The sides have rubber on them and it will fit a mans hand sideways (but probably not a woman's)
It can be switched to each carto and fired with one hand. On off switch to be added later.

LOvely

Did I just make the first dual carto switchable mod?? :)
patent pending? (just kidding)

Battery version next, but wanted to see if I could do this first.

thanks for the help...

If anyone knows why my meter might be acting this way, feel free to tell me :)

Not sure of the meter problem Gormly. I've seen those on eBay, but haven't seen anyone on here use one. You might check the specifications on the one you have. It might be for a multiple cell battery pack, in which case 6.2V may be the lowest it will read. The meters that have been used here are the 1s-6s meters - for 1 to 6 cells.

G man... the lipo meters "usually" read to 3v@x(?)Amps.... so will it read below 6.2v if there is only one atty connected? maybe a current issue?..... also maybe just pay 2$ with free shipping for the 1-6cell lipo tester from madvapoes, but buy from ebay, cheaper, but longer wait!

BTW....Pretty box!

Found it....this one does 2-6cells, so 6.2v is low as it goes...

This one does 1-6 cells reads down to 2.8....mine read down to 2.6v

This bugger is 2-6 cell but hugh LCD....

If you connected two sources from the regulator to the meter it will cause an error. Also I have found that if I use the pins higher than the third pin without using the 1st pin I get an error. The best way I have found is to use the neg and the 1st pin next to the neg for my positive, I have six working that way and no problem

Has anyone used this one?????????\

I bought one and still haven't used it. It has variable watts and variable voltage, good for battery charging and leds but since it doesn't adjust automatically like the Darwin I haven't used it. In other word when I tested it it didn't compensate for a change in ohms, you had to do it manually.

what would that be used for? Battery charging? You are saying I could use this as a way to charge on board batteries?
I'd like to eventually make an all in one with two larger batteries 18650 maybe and a way to charge them via the same 2.5 DC plug, would it be a matter of using a switch to change where the voltage is going? one to the LM-meter-atties and switched to a different LM to the batteries?

Or maybe use this instead of the LM I have and use a switch to divert to the batteries?
