Smoked about 11 years. An ego and ts3 got me off initially and an mvp 2.0 with a protank 2 got me off completely. I haven't used the mvp 2.0 in years but I know it still works. I may have to bust it out and throw a micro coil in a kayfun to reminisce a bit.

Yep I remember micro coils in the kayfun, use to do like 1.4 to 1.6 mm, now they are double that and spaced, everything just keeps getting bigger

Ive never owned an mvp, What are you using now?? I think Most peoples first is an ego.
My mom still uses two of them, Ive tried getting her on mods but She wont have any of it. How She manages with two 650mah baffles me.

I use two duals in a day sometimes. Could do with the rx200s
My current daily carry at work is an ipv 6x with an obs engine or an istick pico with an o-atty.

Indeed. I could get a good vape out of a kayfun around 9 watts with some 28 or 30g kanthal. Haha

I've got the Indigo on my shopping list, and I'll look at the Dragon Fire. Thanks!

If you haven't already, you should try Tribeca, from Halo. It's the first tobacco I liked, and I was hooked after one puff. I make myself vape other flavors, but Tribeca remains my absolute favorite.

I think Tribeca is one of those "my first juice" for many, and is really hard to beat if you like a tobacco type of juice. If it were not for Tribeca I'm not sure I could have stuck with vaping.

I would hate myself if I went back to smoking it is too damn hard to quit. Wish the mods and sub ohm tanks I'm using now had been about when I first started vaping . Was using my dse801 and ciga likes for 2 years before I quit the smokes. I would vape for a couple of weeks then back to the smokes for a few days then back to the vape and so on for 2 years. For new vapers now it is great compared to a few years ago. Vape on.

And, I thank you earlier folks for pushing technology and toughing it out so we who came later had it a bit easier. If I would've started much sooner, I probably would've given up and Maybe came back years later like some earlier folks are doing lately.

    TY, ty, ty!!

Provari got me off of cigarettes. The trick for me was regulated voltage, that same consistent hit from the first to the last.

Im still using a Provari too.

And you can see my saving from being completely cigarette free for over years below.

I smoked for about 12 years and quit for the first time using a Joyetech 510 with 24 mg Red Bull and 555 liquid. Then quit again with an Ego-T and various 24 mg liquids. Then again with various KR808 style equipment. Then again with an eVic VT and Subtank Mini. Then again with KR808's and disposables...

A week ago I quit again, hopefully for good this time. Now I'm using a Kanger Togo Mini and for the first time in my 8 years of vaping and trying to quit smoking I think I've finally found the device that will keep me off cigarettes for good.

At least until the FDA sends us back to the e-cigarette stone age... :-x

    Hi Vapdivrr!

Curious, how many years did you smoke?
About thirty years. I started smoking occasionally while I was still in school, and I was a full-time smoker after I graduated HS.

What type of mod & tank got you to quit cigs?
    Ego C-Twist topped with a Protank2.

Did you quit doing MTL or DL?
Strictly MTL for a while, now I switch between the two depending on what I'm vaping with.

And how much nic did you quit with?
    I started with 24mg/ml, now I'm at 3 mg/ml or less.

I know many back in the day quit with products that were weak and crude by today's standards but the genesis device I got into back then was pretty much the same as what many are doing now. No its not like hi power and sub ohm kind of thing, but is equal to a great mtl rebuildable tank of today. Still to this day, the flavor from a genny is Un matched imo and a great vape. So at least for me, what I'm vaping now is not very far off of what I was vaping 6 years ago. But no doubt in general, vaping has come a long way since then

It's also become far more affordable. While I was not a vaper in those early days, I've read numerous posts of what vape gear cost back then (and then isn't even that far back, how much was Provari charging a year or two ago?). That's something all current vapers should be thankful for because if were not for the early adopters, the market would never have grown fast enough to allow prices to drop so far so fast. The barrier of affordability has been removed for us newcomers.:)

I think my first provari cost around 250. I bought 2 of them.

No doubt gear has dropped alot. Yes my first vv mod was a provari and was over 200 for sure, but provari is still expensive compared to alot of other mods. I know they sell the old v2's cheap now, but their newer mods are pricey. The prices have dropped because alot if the devices are now mass produced and most made in China and because there is so much to choose from, obviously cheaper. Also clonage is big which it wasn't then. But although you can definitely find inexpensive stuff now, there is also a big market on high end gear as well which wasn't around back then, I'm actually spending alot more on devices now then I ever spent back then. I'm a sucker for hi end tanks and mods, most of my rta's are in the 150 range and my mods well over 300, but I'm still way ahead because the money I would of spent on cigs is much much more.
