I agree (and it has nothing to do with agreeing/disagreeing with your comments) One reason I still feel like ECF is the best vaping forum is because they do a good job of moderating things (I respect that ) BTW, "outside" specifically is a forum (here on ECF) where basically anything goes... You will like it (they have some phrase about "don't blame us if you walk away with a bloody nose) Don't have a link at the moment... maybe someone else can post it for you.
P.S. we are all stressing on the current situations (both vaping and the whole COVID thing)

WRONG ! The Outside has been overrun by left leaning Progressives and Socialist (and even a few admitted Marxists) who insist on dominating the conversation, and belittling and humiliating anyone who refuses to march lock stepped with their Socialist Utopian daydream.
The Outside has become the most Un-Democratic forum on the ECF.
A conservative like me doesn't dare set foot in the Outside. I'd be eaten alive and spit out raw.
IMO, The OUTSIDE has become a debate and is no longer a discussion. Many believe that winning is more important than sharing ideas and formulating solutions.
Discussions should not be adversarial. But more often than not, dogma reinforces the incorrect idea that "what we think" is "who we are". Then it becomes about EGO and thus a no-holds-barred sprint to "Victory".
Compromise and independent thought are vilified and refuted with apocryphal anachronisms and programed group-think.
All sides are guilty. IMO, it is a commentary on how far we have yet to go, instead of how far we have come.

Unfortunately, a handful of people regularly inject their political views into ECF vaping threads, undermining the community as a whole. Taking the focus off what we have in common, vaping, and derailing threads.
A much less civil forum banned all political discussion a few months ago and is now a pleasant place. ECF would be more enjoyable going forward if it did the same.

You're right. I don't want to hear from the lunatic fringe here but practical solutions. Not crazy conspiracies. There are plenty of forums off ECF if you're afraid or unable to dominate the "outside" thread where you can find a comfortable bubble of like-minded thought.
Meanwhile let the adults get on with what we came here to discuss, such as vaping.
The tone of these posts have been rude, offensive and derailing. I've encountered several threads with comments from a couple of people. Enough.

As for ECF its my opinion it may be similar to the old times on ECF where Diy /modders and such will be more talked about and the classifieds and swaps section may become more popular again as they once were.
The trouble is we are talking about bans, and laws, which leads to talking about government and politics even if you don't take a particular side. The line is thin and blurry and hard not to cross. Take for instance, the future of ECF. We talk about how the bans will affect advertising. Granted, some people get carried away and cross that thin, blurry line and feelings get hurt. If we can't moderate ourselves though, the moderators will step in. We just have to try not to derail the threads too much. Enough said.

We are up to the point where anything you want in the vape line should be purchased ASAP. Rebuildable atomizers will last a long time. You can boil SS parts to clean out the ports if necessary. O-rings are sourced in most any size you want.
ECF might be hampered by many things in the future, but free speech is still protected last time I checked.
Have you ever noticed that alcohol isn't a target of legislators except for the age 18 restrictions? They haven't talked about banning tobacco cigarettes because government rakes in Billions in tax receipts.
Diminishing Tobacco Tax receipts are the only reason I can think of for ecig bans. That said, I will never go back to burning tobacco.

I remember the altoid mods made with an AA battery at first. How did we survive those batteries? That was back when Etsy was loaded with vape gear. I always liked the steel canister 18350 mech mods.
