So Waho, if you have a restored '67 Mustang Hatchback worth $60k that had a MSRP of less than $3k, you'd pay less than a '98 Mustang GT beater that you bought for $2k with 250k miles on it with a MSRP of $25k. Only in America.
I guess in some ways it encourages keeping classic cars on the roads. Cheap registrations, low cost classic auto insurance, historical plates.

Back to work today. Man that month flew by. I'll have to see if I can remember how to do my job, usually a little sketchy on it for an hour or so.

Got pretty much the entire project list knocked out and still had time for some fun. I built some Adirondack chairs and refinished the outdoor coffee table for the deck. Refinished the picnic table from old latex paint to deck stain and painted the base to match our house. Refinished an outdoor gliding love seat in the same colors. But the big thing was finishing the guest bathroom. It went from floor to ceiling purple tile, brown leakiing toilet and vanity top to this...

I wish it was a rainy day here (not really, just finished staining my garage door and putting soon putting second coat on a porch chair) rather than how the day's been going. Looked like things were going to settle down until they got thru their settlement in Washington, but no. Sunday they had to call the police out again and they had upped the danger level and were waiting for the psych team to re-evaluate. Big mistake.

She got worse during the day and I got a call just after midnight and the live in put me on video chat. They had a 911 call in and were waiting for the police as she went total manic. She was throwing things from the second floor deck into the above ground pool (quite a distance) like the cable box etc. There were things all over the yard she threw out. There husband had recently bought her a guitar which seemed to sooth her for awhile, but over the weekend she had defaced it and somehow attached her medicine we can't talk about to it. Well, she brought that out and smashed it. The police got there just in time because she had just set fire to papers in the house before she was arrested. They put her in the car and when I ended the call they were waiting on the psych people. Hopefully she was taken by them or locked up. The situation was getting dangerous. I don't know what happens about settlements.

Anyway, to make today extra special, I got a text about my credit card. Now I'm waiting on the new one. Oh, I forgot to mention, She ordered a bunch of things from Amazon and who knows where else. I talked too her on the phone Friday night and although she was a bit off, she seemed to understand the importance of getting things packed up and moving to the new house. Then she went psycho over the weekend.

Waho, I'm telling you. I had the regular stuff for the first 50. These last 20, OMG. It would be so much easier to just, oh, well, I must have been put into this for a reason.

On the positive side, my garage door looks better than it has from the time I moved in and the swinging bench for the porch is almost finished. It's not raining, it's a cool 72 and Hillary isn't the President. Life is good.

Waho, that bath looks nice. Now put the toilet cover down. That's what she'd say but not in my house. I put it down, she leaves it up.

I have a picture too, looks like the dentist is going to nail me again before he gets me next year to replace another cap. Looks pretty broken up. Dreading another root canal is in my future. Freaking mouths are expensive.

Waho, "getting older". Almost fell off my sofa (daybed). I felt good today. Went next door to talk to my neighbor who had mental health issues in the past. We got through that and it led to all his other physical ailments. By the time I left, I figured my 70 year medical history was looking pretty good after listening to someone in their late 50s.

Hitt, I wore glasses from the 5th grade and bifocals for at least the last 3 decades. The only time I wear them anymore is to go out (if I don't forget them) and to read the really small lettering they put on stuff and for that I use the drug store variety.

    Somewhere between here and there
I think I mentioned it before but my eye doctor said my eyes are different and that I needed prescription rather than store bought glasses. I had to get an eye exam to renew my welding inspector certification. I passed but needed them for when I do inspections and also to see some of the tiny markings on parts I use at work. Plus my boss offered to reimburse me for them since I needed them for work.

That was a good deal Hitt, glasses are another thing that can get expensive. My trouble with the tiny print is over, as long as the cheap endoscope I bought keeps working. That works great for seeing the small print.

How is the licorice NR? I liked the General Onyx but it got so expensive and wasn't available for awhile that I forgot about it.

Ah, this has been one of those weeks that years from now, if I'm still around, will be remembered. After the Sunday fiasco in Washington, she's currently six hours away in a hospital, I followed it up with getting Monday's credit card theft, finding the broken tooth, then replacing boards on my decking preparing for staining it.
i had what felt like a gut
I got finished a little before dark and sometime around 11, I had what felt like a gut and a need to go to the bathroom. I must have gone between the couch to the bathroom dozens of times with nothing except the pain. At one point I thought I was going to chuck and I was sweating bad. I suddenly hit me that I had experienced something very similar decades ago, a kidney stone.

Paranoia set in and around 4 in the morning I jumped in the shower because I was pretty sure I was driving to the ER. After the shower I felt a bit better so I calmed down but the pain got intense again 20 minutes later. I tried the bathroom one more time, laid down and, I think through sheer exhaustion, fell asleep. I got up about four hours later and the pain was gone. I'm pretty sure it was a stone and I've been pumping water into my system as much as possible, just in case it wasn't passed yet.

So, Wednesday was fine, and I made my chiro and dentist appointment today. For a brief moment, I though I'd gotten lucky on the tooth until the dentist started making strange sounds and said a cavity was real deep. He took an ex-ray and it was so deep that it was almost all the way thru. I didn't get it as I was just there in May and there was just a little spot.

The tooth was so bad that even a root canal wasn't a good option. The tooth had to go. So, two hours later, a ton of Novocaine or whatever they use these days he had all the pieces out as it kept breaking as he tried top pull it. I was feeling almost as bad for him as I was for me. $500 later, I'm waiting for the pain to start. I also couldn't pay the bill as they couldn't take my debit card and my new credit card hasn't arrived yet.

I just wonder what the rest of the week has in store for me. I know tonight should be interesting as I'm just starting to feel a bit of an ache.

I thought you were going to say you had to have your appendix out. The symptoms sound similar to when my wife had hers out. Sorry about the tooth. Hopefully it wasn’t a snus tooth. Several years ago I had a wisdom tooth out on top that was by where I always had my portions on that side. It wasn’t bad but my dentist said it was crowding my molar. It took a while to get used to snus on that side again.

Never thought of the appendix. I'm just happy whatever it was cleared up. Yeah, it's close to where the snus goes but I won't find out until it heals up as to how it will work. Last night and today is gauze on left, snus on right. So far, the pain has been minimal, surprising after the actual extraction. My mouth is more sore than the tooth area.
