thanks jimho, what do you call the function where the provari stops when the batt is low?
do the other pv's have that? (BuzzPro ie)
The Provari limits the output around 10W - the E2 is when you exceed the internal capability of the provari to boost the voltage and provide the current you need to drive the atty at the voltage you set- i believe the Buzz does this when you overload the booster, but doesn't necessarily tell you that its doing it- it just clips the output.

some folks are trying out that first protected battery, the 3100mAh at that 'other' forum... I think there's been some testing on one of the flashlight forum's - lemme see what I can find. I'd be interested in trying one (after I get my provari repaired of course - I have to do that tomorrow!).

Found a few links - maybe you can interpret...:) http://budgetlightforum.com/node/3884
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?320584-Callie-s-Kustoms-18650-High-Discharge-Battery-Review Same reviewer, but different comments from the members. What is PTC protection? Apparently these cells don't have it and that is shocking...?

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the cell:http://www.pohl-electronic.de/pdf/Panasonic/CGR18650CH.pdf

and check out this crazy test, pretty sure it's the same battery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaosGRX9BaQ

I've been eyeing that mod Ukeman. It is really nice. really compact and sleek looking. She has a thread here too... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/201297-presenting-merlin.html

linking threads is easy. Just copy the address, then click on the little earth symbol when posting. A dialog box will pop up and ask for the address you're linking to; then paste address.

You can even link directly to someone's post. Just click on their post number and the address for that particular post will appear in your address bar on the top of the page. Then just follow the previous steps... lemme know if it works for you.

Have any of you guys tried the new Redilast 3100's yet ? they are the same size as the 2900's, the 2900's fit in all of my Mods though snug but I even run them in my Povari and they work super so I want to try these newer 3100's. Still loving my new Darwin though, not having to change Batts ever and the electronics in this Darwin are the best I have used yet. I know a lot of Provari people swear by there Provari's and I was one of them but after now using my new Darwin for a week or more I love this dam Darwin, still love my Provari too though, both are super.

i got my RSM Cutlass in today! charged up some AW IMR 18350's and threw em in. Thing works like a charm and is quite well purty to look at too. i'll get back to you guys in a couple days and let you all know how it's holding up.

Congrats! I'm enjoying quite a bit too. Wouldn't mind a quick pic there Ken ;-)

Got my Sergeant VV Army Tank yesterday and its sweet.

Tell me more + a pic please? (btw - answer to your question in vv tank thread: to post the larger pic you must upload your pics to a hosting site like photobucket and then link to them in your post)

Awesome pics! I appreciate it as I'm waiting on a Bulli and it's good to see one on a provari....that's gonna be my setup, I think, though mine will be the A2-T...hopefully I'll be getting the B version(big tank), soon. What a beautiful REO Woodville, there MX...fantastic. Ah, perhaps my REO Grand will always be my goto PV...even with all the newcomers, they don't seem to outdo what Rob has achieved imho.

If REO's Rob comes up with a VV version, watch out world!

Uh, Drum...http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/221570-dream-reo-vv-2.html#post4087565

hey folks, here's a question for dr jimho and all:

if you have a pv with dual batts... stacked or side by side (like Buzz or SgtII), and you lose one battery (dead)... do you start with a pair of batts or stick in one new (or different) one?

give it a whack with an answer, and then we'll see what professor/s (jk) jimho et al say....

1.when a set of new batts, one went bad, i sent both to notcigs, and they are sending me two new ones...btw
2. i buy in pairs for these... my wife uses a BB (single 14500)... and needs a new batt. i'd hate to break a pair and give her one, unless it doesn't matter.
