I think the Chalice has too wide a diameter to fit. XL works with most any regular sized 510 threaded atty or carto -- but not the wide ones like the Iken Cannon, for example.

So not even if I left the cone off? Well that sucks. I guess I have to save up for a Reo. I'm certainly not going back to regular atomizers for it.

lol -- Have you tried the ShiFu (slant coil) spec atty? Wonderful on BF devices......or with a drip shield on other devices.

Haven't seen them, but also not about to start buying disposable atomizers again, so matter how good they claim to be. I've got a Phoenix, a Mark-T Infinity, and soon a Chalice.

Does anyone know if the VModXL with work with the Chalice BF RA? I'm sure I would have to leave the cone off if it would. I read earlier in this thread that the VMod will feed a closed center post atomizer, which says to me that it feeds through the air intake holes that are just above the threads on the atomizer connector. If that is the case, I don't think the Chalice has those holes, since its airhole is in the upper body.

ronda, Andy Thatcher may pop in here one of these days soon, and he is one of the resident RBA experts as to what might work or not work on the VMOD, but as tearose50 said, you might want to try the Shi-Fu spec coil atty. I understand your desire to stay away from disposable atties now, but, that being said, for the price, the Shi-Fu atties are unreal on the VMOD, and a wonderful addition to anyone's arsenal. Just a couple of my :2c:

There is a Euro Zone RBA coming out soon that has the same diameter as a 510 which will work on the VMod.

I have been having atty issues and am going through an extended play with the Vivi Nova rebuildable atty. Currently using a 2.8 ohm out of the bag atty with the dangly bit's cut down to about an 8th of an inch. On day 5 with this set up and have to say a rather satifying vape.

2.8 ohm atty on the 3.7 volt device I can hear you think...that is where the Kick and still using a 18650 come in. With the Kick set at 8.5 watts rather good vape.

Keep hearing good reports about the new hybrid but alas have a few things still on the to be paid for from lists before I try some.

Itching to get my hands on a bottom feeding atty though as I have just had a thought. Take off the cone and the shield thingy. If you can't get a connection try a 510 extension or two as these will allow for bottom feeding, well the 3 I have will. The RBA would then replace the cone in holding the cover in place. Juice will still flow back to the bottle and those RBA's do no leak anyway from what I have seen. More dang expense !

Aaaaaaaaaaandy , the Euro Zone RBA sounds interesting! Something with a 510 connection that would actually work/fit on the VMOD? Tres cool.

Your idea about removing the cone and chimney/vent stack also sounds doable. There is one issue tho with using extensions... I used a 510 to 901 adapter once in my VMOD so I could go all Tat and vape my little 901 attIEs. Sadly, that little adapter got completely stuck inside the VMOD and it took the better part of a day AND 3 people to remove it! Warning, Will Robinson...

Just got back from a vape store, I know amazing lol, and read that Kittykattts and just had another revelation lol

With the 510 adaptor there is no need to use the extended 306 drip tip with the Vivi Nova. Tried and works a treat.

Not actually using the normal 306 dripper though as I rather like the Cherry Vapes extended I have. Managed to remove the 510 extension easily so ermm in the best possible taste you over screwed it.

Ohh maybe overtightened would be the best way of phrasing that lol

So, based on this post, I assume that the VMod does in fact feed through the center post, if one is available. If that is the case, I already assumed I would have to use an extension and go without the shield and cone. Hmmm...

I have used SmartVapes Dripping Atty with the VMod and that has a closed center post. Fed through the air holes.

I had to loosen up the shield to get everything to work but it did.

As said I don't own the atty you are talking about but have a friend that does bit he lives on the other side of the state so unlikely to see him any time soon to confirm my suspicions. In theory can't see an issue but with these things it is a matter of millimeters between fantastic and just looks and drawers wrong.

It is up to you at the end of the day as you know this will work with the REO. Having owned them I found I preferred the VMod but hey this is the same as juice and personal preference as there cannot be any definitive right or wrong merely personal preference. I had a choice to make as if it was left to me I would have kept both lol

I honestly prefer the aesthetic of the VMod over the Reo, but I can't spend $80 on something that won't work with it.

I understand and wish I had the device in question to be able to answer.

For me it isn't about aesthetics between the two but relative feeding styles. I have become so used to the tilt and vape rather than squirsh the bottle. The REO is a great device but I had to go back to what I had become accustomed too.

Ahh, see I have not owned either of them as of yet. I am currently bottom feeding using a Vapemate that my husband modified to bottomfeed. It works by a slight tilt and squeeze to feed. I am trying to find the best bottom feeder that also works with my setup.

Seen the pic's of that devilishly clever contraption lol

Thinking about it it comes down to this. If you buy a VMod off the Classifieds you will pay about $70. If it doesn't work out you will be able to sell it for pretty much the same amount and nothing lost really.

The same is true of REO's but at a higher price point.

Literally all that is at risk is at most $10. So it could be viewed as buying and trying the VMod could save you the additional $70 a Grand would cost lol

LOL Yea but I have kinda been avoiding getting verified... I'm not a big fan of handing over that much personal info online, and I'm not that concerned with the classifieds. I'll just hang tight till I find out for sure.

Well I got mine yesterday and I think i'm in love. Took 20 hours to charge both of my batteries(Will not go without a spare or 2) I am also still getting used to the feed system. This is what I have been looking for.

I just wish more people talked about bottom feeders in the new member section. Could have saved me tons of money.

So do I! It was the only charger recommended by ECF "back in the day" -- a year ago. As I said, well worth the investment, IMO. Now, the XTAR's are getting very good reviews and their 4 bay one is tempting me.

And, I like RTD for my battery gear, most of the time. Super T has a large following as well. There are others.....but I stay with these 2 usually so I don't remember the names. I also got convinced to buy AW Brand....and I have no regrets. I've liked the vapage batteries, too. No worries there.
