Been looking at the 4 bay and nearly bought a couple of times. Don't think I will be able to resist much longer though.

As regards battery's yep AW here for everything. Do have some 4.8 volts and a couple of Trust fires from trades etc that to be fair have performed quite well.

Very purty, and just enough without being ostentatious

TY but Immana think about that project I'm working on now since you mentioned ostentatious, I'm in the works of building a side by side box mod based on the v-mod xl but with 26650 battery and the body will be made with that material. Hmmmm would that be ostentatious???? Now you making me doubt my project :ohmy::ohmy:

Hey Tony. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. I do love those blues. I'm sure it looks even better in person.

The patterns are what mostly drew me to this color I'm a green man myself but, in the morning when the sun hits it at the right spot I coulda sworn it had a blue aura like effect.

Wow who did that for you? Those are exactly my colors and are beautiful!

If you look at page 6 post #237 thats about 2 months ago when I presented the idea that I've been pondering for a while, I wanted my V-mod XL to have a different look. I had a local machinist do it, it was his first time to do a prototype this small but as you can see from the end result he did it right the first time.

Is there any ongoing promotion for the VMods? I was, unfortunately, very sick at the time and couldn't take advantage of the 50% off. I really want to try a bottom feeder. If not, I guess I could try to get one in the Classified section, but apparently need 20 posts even if I'm only interested in buying (which is frustrating, because there isn't really much risk of the buyer being the scammer in a transaction...)

So I guess until I can find the time for all that posting, how much am I looking at paying for a working, quality (albeit not necessitarily cosmetically flawless), Vmod XL? Just the unit itself, I have the charger and batteries and would just as soon purchase cartos on my own. Thanks guys

Depends on what shows up on the Classifieds.

There are usually 1 or 2 a week depending on how much use and abuse dictating price. If patient have seen them in the $35 - $50 range but more likely in the $60 - $75 range.

The trick is to make certain that it comes with a chassis and shroud as all the other spares you can get from Vapage for under $30 for new o-rings, bottles and case. On the look out for a shroud myself at the moment either that or another one. Of course I was all good when the sale was on lol That'll learn me should have picked up another !

Same here. Always have my XL with me. Tried twice to go XL free and just doesn't feel right.

Have tried other bottom feeders but have grown so used to gravity feeding that all that bottle pushing is irritating.

I usually just use lr options but have a Kick and the 4.8 volt battery's if I fancy moving things up a notch or two.

Do you use the kick with the 18650? If so, what kind of battery life do you get? I see that nhaler has the kick in stock and I'm tempted to pick one up.

Usually you use 18500/18490 with a kick in a vmod xl. To use 18650 and a kick in the vmod xl will entail shortening of the juice reservoir and some wiring. Or heavy cutting and modding to keep all sizes the same. But to answer your question about battery life @ 5 watts your looking at around 8 hours of heavy vaping you'd exhaust the battery first before you need a refill and the hours of use grow shorter as you bump the wattage up.

Thanks for the info. I do plan to do some modding/wiring so I can keep the 18650. Should have the kick next week!

I may end up gtting an XL and kicking it. I just got my 2.0 in the mail and it is amazing! My first bottom feeder was an Old Goat but it has too much of a learning curve (overfill, overfill, another overfill, etc.) the Vmod is foolproof! Only had it for a few hours but I already feel like I have it mastered. Quality product by Vapage.
