I think just about everyone recommends cleaning an atty from time to time. The differences are how, how long, how often.

I even know of a few that blow out their atty every night, apply a condom, add a few drops of PG and let it clean itself overnight. Then they blow out in the morning.

Most usually just soak in vodka or everclear for various amounts of time and frequencies! That's what I do.

I have tried to clean cartos but they never taste the same to me so now simply toss them.

I have 4 attys that I rotate. There will be more joining them.

With attys either use till they die or the flavour changes or the draw changes.

Couple of options at that point. Well if they die there is only one but let's conveniently forget that and move on with the other 2.

If you check youtube you will see many different ways of cleaning attys. I use the dunk in vodka method. Most suggest 30 minutes but as I am easily diverted my 30 minutes can last up to 12 hours before I remember.

Blow out. Run water through them. Leave to dry for a day and I then drop 5 drops of juice into them. Then they wait their turn in the rotation.

Or you could throw them out.

erictho, tearose and andy, might I offer up yet another suggestion opinion?

Steam clean with an espresso maker! I've done it many times and it's about as clean as you can get, and was suggested to me by a HIGHLY reputable vendor/designer/PV creator.

OTOH, cartos are really just never the same after cleaning. I dislike risking my good juice in a cleaned one for fear of welp, loss.

Boiling them, btw, shrinks the filler material. It'll be sterile, but not utile. ;)

Dry burns are a double edged sword. Fence at your own risk.

Take a break from ECF and all hell breaks loose!

I've owned just about every 3.7v bottom feeder out there, and you see what I like...:)

Tough? My job is as demanding as any. I've dropped my XL a hundred times. Still works fine.

As long as it keeps you from smoking....the rest is personal preference and price point.

Guess certain people that are fans of another bottom feeder can't say you can't run over a Vmod anymore lol. That is impressive, and I actually felt like it would be fine when I would think about it. Sure itll get scratched dented, and generally abused, but mines worked with after some pretty severe drops already. Its my out and about PV for this reason.

Ok it is not good I have to ask.

What is it about trucks that are so beloved over here ? Now I have lived in the US 6 years and still can't quite grasp the requirement of having one now I find that if you have one you have to run your mod over with it ? Actually I fibbed. Can't quite grasp is a massive understatement.

The following conversation is an example of one I have had on many occasions with work colleagues.

Me - So you have a truck
Them - Yep (broad grin)
Me - Moving soon ?
Them - Nope
Me - Carry anything back there ?
Them - Nope
Me - Lawnmowers, bricks, wood, turf ?
Them - I could but wouldn't that make it dirty ?
Me- True and there is UHaul. How is the economy ?
Them - Sometimes get up to 25 mpg on a run.
Me - How is the cornering ?
Them - Slithers a but it is a truck.
Me - You see those cantilevered springs there by the back wheels ?
Them - Yep
Me - You do know that there is no change in the design from a horse and cart suspension to that ?
Them - Yep it is a truck
Me - Banging head against the wall by this point.

Apologies to people that, you know, carry stuff but the majority of these things have seen nothing dirtier than a carrier bag of shopping.

Now I find that they are after my mods ?

I think they are just after the REOs. No one else really seems to care if their mod can be run over by a truck. Brian was merely proving a point with his video of the Vmod. ;)

c6e4e1a0-f7cc-2a0e.jpg

Nothing against Reo's I intend on buying one at some point but once they are leak free and I can make certain I have the fortitude to own one and not buy a truck just to run it over.

Curious selling point. You can run a truck over it ! Ermmm why would I want to?

Well accidents happen? Yes but the nature of most accidents are unfortunate circumstance certainly not something I should buy a mod to cater for otherwise the term accident is a misnomer.

Or am I to view myself as lucky as the vast numbers of trucks I see on a daily basis don't leap out at me to run over my mod sorry APV ?

Thanks Almighty :). Where have you been hiding?

You're welcome! :)
They are lovely.
I wasn't hiding...I was sleeping. ;)

BTW Andy...a 3/4 ton truck doesn't do much for a pack of coffin nails either. It's funny that you don't see other mods being attacked because they aren't a Reo. For Pete's sake...some people need to tend to their own knitting, & not worry about what other people buy.

Lol

Please have a go at me. It would be a short chat.

I can see how I can be accused of being a ProVari and VMod, VApv?, fan boy but can't see the point of having a pop at other peoples choices.

Although I refuse to buy a truck I will get a Reo at some point because I want one. The VMod meets and exceeds all my needs.

Said it before and worth repeating. Ready to blush Brian?

Bloody clever design.
