I converted my brother to e-smoking (he was smoking 2 packs a day for decades)

For as long as I can remember he would wake up every morning
and cough and hack his lungs out ... for 30 minutes as if he was going to die.

After 3 months of vaping ... he no longer coughs at all in the morning

He hasn't touched a cigarette now in 3 years !!
You couldn't bribe him for any amount of money to even take 1 drag off a cigarette

Before my friend showed me about vaping, I was chain smoking maybe twice an hour, but I would only smoke about a pack and half a day. It felt so hard for me to breathe and I was getting scared. Thank god because after I started vaping, everything about me felt much better. I also don't need to worry about always being afraid of coming home with the terrible scent of cigarettes.

I really wasnt thinking about vaping in fact I didnt have any idea what it was until some guy mentioned it to me while I was coming back into my store after a smoke break. I had heard of ECigs before but never really looked to it as alternative or a method to quit. This guy asked me if I ever thought about quitting. Of course I said, then he showed me his PV setup. I never saw anything like it before then. I thought it was pretty neat. He had an elaborate setup and at the time told me he was 'Vaping Earl Grey Tea'. He offered to show me more as I found out he was selling it to local law enforcement, military and other first responders. I decided to look into it myself on line and was very surprised at how long 'vaping' had been around and how many people were doing it and then all the benefits to it to include people switching or quitting analogs. I thought about ordering a starter kit but still didnt have enough information to figure out what to buy. I was lucky enough to find a local outfit that let you try things out. I went in tried a few things and left with my very first vaping kit. Its only been a month but I love it. Wish I would have heard of this sooner.

My last analog was December 7 2012,
December 6 2012 my seven year old was caught sneaking a pack of cigs out of my room when we talked about what was going on he told me he wanted me to quit because he did not want me to get sick and die. He figured if he hid them from me i would not smoke.
, Someone lent me a v2 to try which got me to stop lighting up but was not a strong enough throat hit for me. I am now using a Apollo ego VV and I am loving it! It is a cheep way to get into variable voltage and I get to experiment. Thank all of you for the help and advice.
If you are new like me check out Grimm Green and pbursardo on you tube they are full of great info. Good luck everyone.

I've always been an off and on smoker.. When i started i was doing a pack a day..
Then i quit - restarted... rinse and repeat multiple times, then packs just got too expensive and lost my job and well i kinda quit cold turkey.. but if i was at the bar or something i would still bum a cigarette every now and then.. now with my new job i'm around cigs all day and i dont wanna buy a pack, for a couple reasons.. 1) Price 2) I dont want all those extra chemicals. So Finally after just fighting cravings over and over again i bought my 1st e-cig, and now i feel like I have my freedom back without having to fight the cravings.

I started vaping on December 1st after a post-Thanksgiving heart attack at age 46. A combination of eating like crap and smoking like a chimney for 30+ years has taken a toll on me, apparently.

I'd tried flat-out quitting more times than I can count, and none of my attempts lasted more than a week or so. It's now been a little over a couple weeks now, and I can honestly say I don't think I'll ever use an ashtray again. Sure, I still get the urge for a smoke, but it's bearable, I haven't turned into a raging jerkwad, and I'm not eating non-stop.

And, hey, it just may keep me from dropping dead, which is cool.

While I have had a cigarette here and there I was never a smoker. After seeing the hold they had on all my friends I became rather repulsed by them. Sadly I did really enjoy smoking so when I heard of e-cigs I figured I'd give them a shot. Started on the eGo-T's when they first came out but I slowly stopped. Got back into it recently with the new twists, kangers, and CE4/5's. I love being able to enjoy smoking without all the usual side effects. Plus it's a nice distraction when everyone else is sucking on analogs.

From a pack of Lucky Strikes a day to vaping with my new Ego-c Twist.

I had tried the Wicked set-ups before. They were way too expensive and nobody told me about the flavors other than "regular" and "high" tobacco. I don't even like that taste. I starting vaping on one of those batteries I found after a move. I didn't enjoy it until I tried strawberry shortcake. It was like, "wow, this is so much better, I never want to go back."

Now it's really catching on. I've been smoking for 9 years and I'm so happy to have put them down. I'm excited to no longer feel guilty for a habit I never meant to pick up. I was severely addicted to something that disgusted me and now I'm proud to tell people what I'm vaping and why. It's a new freedom for this 27 year old girl. I never thought I'd be able to quit and this is so freakin' cool.
