Because my wife, whom I love dearly, smokes cigarettes and I want to have as many years with her as possible. So how you ask will MY starting to vape keep HER alive longer? I have a sneaky, underhanded plan.

My mom told me that her doctor recommends electronic cigarettes to people who smoke. My mom, who adores my wife, offered to buy a kit so she might quit. However my wife is too damn hard-headed and intractable when it comes to her Virginia Slims. I knew the offer would be a failure. So I plan to learn all I can about vaping myself so that I can find the equipment and juices that will provide the most awesome vaping experience. Then, when she sees how much I am enjoying myself, she'll ask to try it out and it will seem like her idea.

I loved smoking, which is why I think vaping works for me as I was never ready for the "you've got to want to quit to quit" methods. I don't feel like I am missing anything, I feel like I have found something better, and by logical default, healthier.

Now if only they would make a healthier way to drink with no hangovers:)

I started vaping in order to have an alternative source of nicotine - patches and gum are fine in their place, but they didn't help me quit the analogs. vaping replaced the analogs for me and my decreasing the nicotine content helped me wean myself from nicotine completely. I started analogs again, much to my shame, so I am back to learn what is new and get back into vaping. With the new flavors and styles I am seeing, this may be a new hobby :p

After getting FLU twice in a month and noticing the delayed healing time and the general crap condition of my chest - coupled to the fact that the Rolling tobacco I was getting was of a highly dubious origin; I went out to town center got some e-lites - stuck with them for week - realised I needed some better battery power and better taste - quickly upgraded to an ego VV and some mini vivi's and havent looked back....

Chest now feels a heck of a lot better than it has in years and I wasnt really a heavy smoker and I notice that now when kids come home with various bugs I'm not catching them every time like I used to - bonus!!

Health mainly. I was 25 when I quit, been off analogs for a year now and all the positives made it worth it. Save money, feel better, smell better and its amazing how much stamina was gained during the first few months. Quiting was a stepping stone to other healthy lifestyles like eating healthy and working out. Once I new I was done with cigs I knew I could continue to improve my lifestyle, and I dont think I could of done it without the ecig.

I'm trying to start up vaping. I'm quitting smoking because I'm an opera singer - I can't smoke forever if I want to keep my voice. I'm taking up vapeing because even though I want to quit smoking, I don't want to give up the pipe. I'm hoping to come to a compromise, where I can vape my pipe and save my voice. :)

That's the FIRST thing I noticed (within a year of quitting smoking)... I got my 'singing' voice back... the one that I had in High school!

But! You have to quit smoking traditional cigarettes completely! ... and it takes almost a year (at least it did for me) before you notice that your voice has changed.

I'm well over 60 and smoked 2-3 packs a day for over 40 years.
My entire live was tied to cigarettes ... couldn't go anywhere
without thinking about how many cigarettes I had and if I should
buy more. Would buy 2-3 cartons at a time, just to be safe and
know I wouldn't need to buy more for a while.

I loved the smoking habit ... not the health issues and stink.

One day, 4 years ago, while surfing ... I clicked on a link by mistake
and saw a e-cigarette YouTube. First exposure to e-cigarettes.
After watching the short YouTube ... I said to myself, "If these things
work half as good as it appears ... I just quit smoking"

After a little research (long before I heard of the ECF) I found
a reputable marketer on YouTube and called them on the phone.
They brought me up to speed and I ordered the following
2 different kinds of e-cigs kits
6 bottles of juice (each with a different level of nicotine)
6 extra batteries
2 boxes of blank cartridges
6 extra atomizers
2 chargers

I was asked why was I spending so much and ordering so many
supplies on my first order.

My reply: When I get my order ... I'm ready for anything to never smoke again
and I have no intentions of wishing I ordered more of anything that would
put me back on cigarettes. If I ordered something I won't use ...
Oh, well big deal ... Lets call it Insurance.

The cost ... "Chicken Feed" in comparison to what I was spending on cigarettes.

Folks ... I was done with my life being tied to cigarettes.

When I took my first drag on my new e-cig ...
"WOW ... I just quit smoking ... but I'm still smoking ...
got to get used to calling it vaping and not smoking" !!
:p

E-cigarettes is the best investment I ever made in my entire life !!
