Can't buy it if Nobody Sells it.

Can't Sell it if Nobody Buys it.

This has all the Makin'ns for a 200 Post Thread.

LOL

Problem with that argument is that it doesn't take reality into account.

Successful product ideas sell well.
And successful product ideas that sell well are ALWAYS duplicated/copied.

To expect that because I design some groundbreaking product that is a true game changer and it won't be duplicated is naive.

In the same vein, I can pioneer a new technique for fabricating designer toilet paper that I hand lay myself, customized for an individual's fanny, perfume tailored to your specific bouquet, takes 3-4 weeks (after receipt of your specific gluteal dimensions) for manufacturing and delivery to your door. And offer it for the low, low, price of $50.00 /roll.
(BTW: I call it "Honey Lick Bathroom Tissue" if you're interested). :p

If I decide to that I do so with the understanding that my clientele is probably limited.
I also don't get ...... that Charmin has a similarly perfumed and effective .... wipe that works just as well and is $1.00 a roll.
And the no name brand is only 0.50 a roll (though not as gentle on my sensitive flower--.... it gets the "job" done nonetheless)

I'm busy trying to figure out where to get honey cake in my area. A lady friend mentioned she will be having it tomorrow for her 21st birthday, which triggered a craving...

There are a Dozen places in My area that sell Knock-Off Honey Cake. But to get a Genuine? Forget it.

I'd have to drive to Irvine for that.

I think the Reality Train left the Station is this Thread a Long Time ago. LOL

And BTW - If you Trademark your New product as "Honey Lick Bathroom Tissue", I think you are going to be pretty Bullet Proof infringement wise.

Just don't see too many people Cloning any Trademark that has the work "Lick" in it for Toilet Paper.

:D

Don't see No Trademark Toucan Sam's on the First 2 Boxes. Maybe you can point them out.

I'll give you a hint.....
Contract Packaging

The only difference in the products is the cardboard.

Kellogg's gets you either way.
You wanna pay $1.75 for Great Value Fruit Spins---We like you.
You wanna pay $5.00 for Toucan Sam---WE LOVE YOU.

I have had generic cereal once; when there was a run on genuine peanut butter Capt' Crunch. It's not the same...

:D

Nope wont.
Change one thing about the process or constituents and voila---my competitor has a brand new product that looks similar to mine and smells delightful (at least before applied to it's intended use, that is)
And if he is wily enough to control costs in other fashions (perhaps a machine that will lay that paper faster than I can by hand) he'll beat me on price while providing the same value.
My .... is clean(er) and stink free (mostly)

You miss the point as well that the market has spoken on toilet paper and what it's worth.
The same thing is happening --full force--in this still emerging vapin biz.

What Innokin did 1 1/2 years ago for $60, Joyetech/Eleaf are doing equally (or arguably better) for $30.00.
SvM wants to charge $200 for a KF4 (even though they already saw their "legacy" KF's copied--and copied well) they should not be surprised that their lunch is being eaten withing 3 weeks.
It's not a matter of whether or not I like it or agree with it.
It IS.

Just a Hypothetical Question.

Say there was No China making e-Cigarette Hardware. And ALL the Hardware was made in the Good Old USA.

Do you think you would See so Many (If Any) 1:1 Clones? And Counterfeits branded with someone Else's Logo on them?

Interesting.

Sorry the Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch packaging plant is not one of my customers so I guess the generic brand you brought was a clone.

They sell Lieutenant Crunch in a Store I shop at. I haven't tried it though. So I can't say if it Makes the Grade or not.

Only the Cap'n can make the real deal...

Oh... Well why Didn't you say so in the First Place.

I guess what Threw Me was the 3 Manufactures that you listed as "High End" Knife Makers. I Guess they are "High End" for You.

Lol
"Higher" end and recognizable by almost everyone. I could mention any number of obscure custom shops as well, but I digress, the knife industry has more professionalism than the vape scene, and modders could learn a thing or two.

Do you rely not think, across the board, as far as professionalism goes the legit mod industry is horribly represented? Really?
This whole industry is dominated by amateurs.
