Not to mention the coffees that not only have added sugar or flavor, but added caffeine also.

Yeah and it's all subjective to the user I know.. I used to be able to drink lots of espresso. I loved my home espresso makers. Now, I drink decaf but only a few sips not even a half of cup because it wires me and gives me jitters. I don't know anyone else who is effected by decaf like this and most folks don't believe me.. heck I can't believe it.. I'd love to enjoy my coffee again.

Since I am a simple minded conspiracy theorist I believe decaf coffee killed my mother.

That may very well be potentiation of the nicotine caffeine combo. Even decaf has SOME caffeine left in it.

You too. Most of the time when I get in debates with folks they get huffy but you're cool as a cucumber. At this stage in my life (mid 30s) the question of too much nic or caffeine is not of much interest to me. I drink about a liter of coffee in the morning and vape about 15mL of 5mg e-liquid throughout the day. If I drink too much coffee I get a headache and feel bad. If I vape too fast I feel queasy and need to put it down for a while. That doesn't happen often. If I asked, a doctor would probably say I'm on my way to an early grave, because a doctor's idea of moderation is indistinguishable from abstinence, but it feels pretty self-regulating for me. Ask me again in twenty years and I could have an entirely different outlook on the matter.

Well, I’m 20 years older than you, and that’s how it’s been for me, still, all these years. If I drink too much coffee or vape too hard, I don’t feel good and I stop it. I have a pretty good sense of how much is too much, and I rarely do either to excess.

I suppose normal aging processes that lead to health issues may mean one needs to cut back on caffeine or nicotine, much as folks are directed to limit salt or sugar. But I don’t know a single soul whose health issues were the result of caffeine. I’m not sure we have the data to say whether that will be true of nicotine sans smoking/tobacco. But I’d guess the risks are fairly similar.

Canada
Cigarettes in the UK state the nic on the packet. Depending on brand but it's usually around the 1mg mark. No idea who the 'experts' were who came up with that.

Canada changed labeling a few years back because they found too many experts. Nicotine and tar are listed as ranges to account for different smoking styles.

I've never had that "first cigarette in hours" rush from vaping.

Neither have I...and I vape WTA almost exclusively...(since OmVapors often has it on sale for the same price as nicotine ejuice)...

Juul is an "infamous" thing that most people will recognize

Get yourself a Justfog Minifit...most people will think it's a USB flash drive...

A Juul is certainly easier to conceal. The catch is that Juul is an "infamous" thing that most people will recognize, while many of them would have no clue what your REO is.

It's a non-issue for me. Haven't tried it. By the time I started to hear about nic salts, I was well settled into vaping, no longer craving cigarettes, and I just didn't see the need to keep trying theories. What I was already doing was fully satisfying. There's that saying, "if it ain't broke..."

Just seen your post, you now know someone who can detect the caffeine in decaff, me. I'm very sensitive to it. I can also feel 2 drops of alcohol in a pint of water and one drop of nic in a tank, somehow.

I love the smell of coffee but it wires me up so badly I can't sit still or focus, I drink lots of tea ( being a Brit) and the caff in it gives me a lift in the morning, but no jitters anytime. iirc much of the caff in Indian tea is locked up with the Tannin, but memory is hazy on that.

I do believe most tea has xanthene, not caffeine. It's a slightly different molecular structure, but similar effect. Like guarana and taurene, or however you spell those red bull ingredients.

Caffeine is present in black tea and theobromine, theophylline which are related to caff and L-theanine according to various sources. The L-theanine is rather interesting, worth a search 8)
