Adjustable 510 pin? Could this also be used to put between a hybrid mech and tank?It is a thing. https://m.fasttech.com/p/1923808

I suppose you could do that.Adjustable 510 pin? Could this also be used to put between a hybrid mech and tank?
It looks to me like your either building a 1 ohm coil at 30w (not recommended ) or a dual coil at .5ohm . If it's a dual, 30w could be a bit much. When it gunks like that, typically it's because the coils stay hot for too long after puffing. The long cool down causes the Eliquid to solidify on the coil. Honestly, I'd go up a wire gauge to reduce the number of wraps and space them slightly. Should help some. Another alternative is to intake air slightly longer than you push the button. That will allow the air to cool down the coil faster for less solidification of the liquid. But some liquids are just natural gunkers. I use Black Note and it's terrible for that too. I've found spacing the wraps, just slightly enough so they don't touch, took me from half a tank to 2 tanks before coil replacement was necessary.I'm on my GB for a couple of months now. The only thing that's getting on my nerves are the coils gunking up too quickly.
I'm on 26g kanthal, 8 wraps, 2.4mm ID. My coils are gets burnt fairly quick half tank in. I'm constantly vaping at 30w chain vaping quite often too.
Anyone having these issues as well?
A dual 26g 8 wrap contact coil build is excellent in this tank. It's a lovely vape in the 30-45W range. It looks to me like your either building a 1 ohm coil at 30w (not recommended ) or a dual coil at .5ohm . If it's a dual, 30w could be a bit much. Spaced coils generally fire pretty evenly for me without much hassle, you can pulse them at low wattage, and strum them / squeeze them slightly if they aren't, but generally it doesn't take much.I'm actually on a dual coil build reading 0.4ohms.
I'm trying to continue drawing air after releasing the fire button to cool the coils first.
How do you suggest I make the a slightly spaced coil? Any rigs that you're using?
And I believe making the coils fire evenly from inside out at the same time is gonna be challenging?
Making a contact coil fire evenly is a little chore but crimping it and raking usually settle the kettle but what about spaced coils?
It is excellent indeed but are you facing any gunked up coils after a tank?
Forgot to mention I picked up the black glass from FT and let me tell you, it's BLACK. Very, very difficult to see through, which can make refilling a bit of a challenge. It's nothing like the UD black glass, which is more of a smoke. I wish I had bought more of them from Smog. I haven't been able to find them anywhere else.
