O.K. guys, hoping someone can give me some insight!

I've got 28g, 8 wrap, on 2.5mm duals @ 0.9 ohms. I'm using KGD, "shoulder pad" style wicking, trimmed down so there is a little bit of cotton trailing half way down the channels.

Initially, performance is stellar, a fabulous warm saturated vape. This continues for the whole tank. But after I remove the tank, refill and replace, the vape gets all hot and harsh. And juice consumption goes down.

I think it's obvious I'm not getting enough juice to the coil, but it doesn't look like the wicks have moved our anything. After re-wicking, (with even less wick in the channels) it was all good again!...........until I had to refill........

This is the third time I've had to re-wick. Each time with less cotton..........

Any advice would be welcome.........

Laurie, I think Trevor is the best when it comes to wicking. Every build I've used of his works flawlessly.

Its funny you should say that because I saw his channel for the first time last night. Every other vid says to stuff the wick in the channel and he doesn't.
I had posted earlier on this thread that I thought the flavor was so-so on the Goblin. Well I woke up first thing this morning an rebuilt my coil and wicked it just like he did, and I have to say that it was a major improvement in the flavor and vapor production. The only draw back is that dude talks way too much but at the same time I appreciate his passion.

Hey Guys, just got my Goglin in about a week ago and I'm loving it. I don't have pics yet but I have been able to extend my juice capacity to 4.5ml. I'll post more info and pics later. For now I'm still testing the new setup but I can tell you I have had no leeks from this new setup so far.

OK back soon.

Well dont leave me in suspense!!!

Sorry for the wait guys, I’m waiting for a camera to take some good shots of it. So still waiting.

Anyways, I’ll start with a little write up. Well it looks like the Goblin can thread up to Kayfuns. I have a Kayfun 4 clone by Tobecco and was wondering if I can screw the chimney unit to the Goblins base and they did. Like I said earlier I’m still testing the setup but for the most part it works very well.

The Setup:
-26g, 8/9wraps 2.5dai. dual coil, 0.5ohms. Japan Cotton
-1 Goblin base with the chimney barrel screwed on.
-1 Kayfun 4 chimney and mostly everything that screw on to the Kayfun chimney.

Once assembled you have to align the fill hole on the Goblin with the Kayfun chimney holes to fill the chamber. That’s how I’ve been filling it. Another thing I encountered is that the chimney bore of the Goblin is a few millimeters larger than the Kayfun’s but it fine with me just make sure your coil and wick don’t clog the air holes. No dry hits yet too.

Again I’ll post pics soon.

I'm considering trying this method next time.........anyone tried it?........skip to 28 mins in........

goblin rta from youde + build!: http://youtu.be/SOzZw8ppG-0

Rewicked tonight using this method. Very very good. Great vapor, great flavor, no leaks, no dry hits. though I admit I didn't watch the whole video. Sorry man but an hour is a long time.
so far this is the 3rd time I've wicked it.
The 1st time was great.
2nd not so good, leaked a little and a few dry hits.
3rd is this method and is amazing better everything and faster too.
Btw I did notice a little looseness in my coils so I jammed an extra piece of wire in the post holes, fixed it right up. Looks like I'm looking for some new screws.

Anyone else's Goblin leak from the fill hole screw?
It's rather annoying.

I thought mine might have been, but I may have just filled it like a slob (I dont use needle tips they take too long). The verdict is still out on that though, sometimes I see a little juice under my atty when I take it off to refill, sometimes I dont. I will pay better attention and keep you updated. Nothing a little teflon tape can't fix in 2 minutes, though..

You folks buying screws may want to check the Fastenal website to see if you have a local store. They carry the smaller sized metric fasteners and can generally have stock sent to the local outlets for pickup in a day or two at no additional charge. YMMV

I'm not a big fan of my local fastenal. I always got that whole " Sorry we don't have it in stock, but don't worry we can get anything in a few days, we'll call you" and then after 3 weeks. "Yeah we couldnt get it"
Every Freakin Time!!!!

The Home Depot in Vancouver has extended hardware selection, including some of the smaller screws (like M2) in stainless. I'm not sure if they have M2 set screws in stainless, though.

Edit: I'm pretty sure they don't. They have them in regular alloy (black), but not in stainless.
