ok thanks i decided to pick one up from MBV and got some juice while i was at it.

i really wish that someone would come up with a new way to keep the negative and positive separated or use a better material that can handle more heat.( goes for most devices). its huge safety issues to me. i also find it funny that so many people are concerned about chemicals in there juice but dont worry about inhaling plastic from the insulators.
Something like Celazole PBI which is plastic that can handle almost twice as much heat which is around 205°C as Delrin/Acetal maxes out around 120°C.
ceramic would be a good choice too. if i was still in school i would mold my own and throw it in the kiln.

I have read some have melted the insulator so who knows what was being done exactly but I ran 50 watts on .4 for 2-3 days and didn't melt, its not hard to melt them but its not easy either, my coils are just close enough for clearance of the collar and the positive posts. I don't ever want to strip my build i'm that happy with it. I wonder if 26 g would be too close and thats why my 28g is ok..

Ok, are people saying that juice is leaking from the fill screw, and wicking to the AFC ring? Because that's interesting if it is the case. I must pull out some teflon tape for fun. Not sure where to get a small enough o ring.

for everyone that has problem with leaking from fill screw and cant find a small enough o ring, it's quite simple. buy (or find) that bic lighter and break em apart, inside there should be 2 or 3 o rings and 1 of them is small enough for the goblin's fill screw

on my pic, the bottom red circle is teh one i use for the screw.

hope it helps

You posted while I was editing, so the scripto brand of that style only have one o-ring, and it's too large. That's a bic brand electric igniting lighter right?

the pic is some random lighter i found near me. i got it from a local cafe. anyways, im not sure if you can find some in the us, but i pulled o rings for goblin screw from tokai brand lighters before.tokai.jpg

Got my first setup in, 8 wraps of 26g kanthal around a 2mm post came out to 0.4ohms and it's vaping like a beast ! I knew the deck would be small, but damn it still surprised me how small it actually was. My first try with 2.5mm drill bit shorted to the chamber, 2mm seems to be great. Using organic japanese cotton (muji) and 70VG juice, 35-40W so far seems to be my sweet spot.

Just got my Goblin and I'm ....ing ....... The chamber hat is STUCK, I have tried everything to get it off without breaking it but I'm out of options. GOSH. Anybody here had the same problem and got it off?

PHEW. It finally came off, scratched the threads a little but .... it..

When I run into that problem - I wrap a rubber band around the parts and twist. the friction grip from the rubber band works 95% of the time.

I've managed to get vertical coils in there! It's weird but possible, got away with 2.5mm diamater coils cause the overall length of the coil wasn't an issue, they weren't too hard to install but it took a minute to figure out the wicking, as long as you get your leads clear then you should have no problem doing a regular vertical coil wicking.
