ok thanks i decided to pick one up from MBV and got some juice while i was at it.
i really wish that someone would come up with a new way to keep the negative and positive separated or use a better material that can handle more heat.( goes for most devices). its huge safety issues to me. i also find it funny that so many people are concerned about chemicals in there juice but dont worry about inhaling plastic from the insulators.
Something like Celazole PBI which is plastic that can handle almost twice as much heat which is around 205°C as Delrin/Acetal maxes out around 120°C.
ceramic would be a good choice too. if i was still in school i would mold my own and throw it in the kiln.
I have read some have melted the insulator so who knows what was being done exactly but I ran 50 watts on .4 for 2-3 days and didn't melt, its not hard to melt them but its not easy either, my coils are just close enough for clearance of the collar and the positive posts. I don't ever want to strip my build i'm that happy with it. I wonder if 26 g would be too close and thats why my 28g is ok..
