I used my goblin for about 2 weeks but was never happy. The first day after a build was always great but after that it would have burnt hits and leaks. I switched to a freemax starre with .25 ohm coils and could not ask for anything more. I'm done messing with the goblin.

I had no problem with building coils and wicking myself. I tried all the different types of coil builds and wicking methods but none of them even came close to the out of the box Vape I get with the freemax starre. If I could have had the same Vape experience with the goblin that I'm getting with the starre I would still be using it. I was just very disappointed with it. Just my opinion of course.
Jeff, If you're getting burnt dry hits then that's your build not the tank. Personally never had any pre built as good as my own builds.....

While I'm happy you found something that works well for you, don't blame the RTA on your troubles getting it working correctly.

So my goblin just leaked a whole tank into my jacket pocket. It has been leaking a little, but not a whole tank! I'm assuming that it is the wick. I put a bit of cotton in the holes and I must have cut the cotton too sparse I guess? Anyone had a similar issue?
Haven't had that issue. But honestly, I'm fairly new to rebuilding and a tank stays at home for a couple of days after a wick or a build, till I know I can trust it. I just kind of cycle through my RTAs, wicking at different times, but I always have one with a trustworthy build for leaving the house.
Every build I did for the Goblin since I got it leaked. I put it into a drawer. Then I watched Phil Busardo's recen video on the Goblin. I replicated his wick trimming and have not had any leaking issues since. So glad I can use my Goblin again. It IS all about your build.

Thanks for the heads up. I have three Goblins in coming vape mail and this will definitely help. Just today saw the clones are now available too, and cheap.

At $30 I don't know if I'd buy a clone. The clone someone linked a few pages back looked interesting.

Tonight I put a couple of tanks through it of 80pg/20vg juice and it continually flooded and leaked like a sieve. Turning it up to 35/40w helped.
Would people here say that the goblin requires radically different builds between 50/50 and 80/20? Or is my wicking just rubbish? I'm getting as close as I can to Trevor's wicks...

Yeah, I think I will probably pick that up. At first I was like oh, that's dumb. Now I kind of want it, assuming its higher quality than my goblins.
Sorry, I don't have any 50/50 juice to try it out.
I've only run 80-97vg in mine.
I my opinion, that clone looks horrible. The Youde version of this tank has an actual adjustable 510 pin and it looks as though the airholes in the Youde are bigger.
