That's Scott Bonner.

He does a lot of good stuff though imo that helped me a lot. If it wasn't for his oddy video I don't think I'd ever wick my terminator right.

Same here I used his video to do my Ody when I got it. Todd dose the best tutorials he really breaks it down and lets you see what hes doing.

As someone who admittedly does reviews....I'm going to chime in as why I do them.....I didnt get into it because of freebies or discounts or fame or bragging rights or channel views.

My channel is dedicated to women.....too many guys are out there being "experts" and its difficult for us women to get a real feel of whats going on if the reviewers are stuck on "man-mode". I'm excited about vaping and being cigarette free and i like sharing the excitment. I also do nasal snuff and snus reviews, and more women are getting into it....its nice to know we can share reviews with other women and interested guys. My vids arent all high falutin with too many fancy graphics, bar graphs and other stuff. I enjoy taking an hour out of a free afternoon to dink around on youtube. I buy everything I review at full price, and willingly admit I'm new to vaping so the community knows that starting and stumbling a bit is okay. I refer people to ECF.

What drives me up the wall are the elitists that diss other juice brands or look down on people that have Ego batts or Blu's, or insinuate that if you dont have an RBA you're just a newbie that is missing out. Alot of people are sort of cowed at those types of videos, and may give up on vaping or other alternative nicotine delivery. I do reviews to let women (and guys) know that whatever they vape with, its all good.

If its self serving, then I'm glad at hogging the "FeelGood" feeling of sharing my excitement for vaping. :)

There are a crap-ton of poorly made reviews out there. When I was first starting 7 mos ago I found myself watching, lets call him ponytail dude, until I saw him pimping a lot of crappy product with links to coupon codes and stuff, meanwhile giving them favorable reviews...
The good thing is it pushed me to find other reviewers like pBusardo, and Grimm (why is he so polarizing btw? either ppl love him or hate him) and eventually this forum. In a way the crappy ones showed me exactly what to look for and what to avoid.

Hello!!

Nice to meet you! I just watched one of your videos for the fist time last night. It was one of those things where you come across something while looking for something else. Thank you for reviewing the TeCab, I hadn't been able to find out much about it. Does your dog always help with the ambience?

Well, that cat's out of the bag now. To own up, I sent the link to a few of the people in this thread who asked for it, including Statistic. As a general rule, I don't like to throw people under the bus in a public way - even if they deserve it - but I needed to know if this was the 'real' Vapor Joe.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know and had to ask. :p

I realize that not all reviewers are like this guy. I myself subscribe to PBusardo, GrimmGreen, and AmandaEmxoxo (who could pretty much tell me the world was flat and I'd believe her because I'm a perv and old enough to be her dad ). There are good review(er)s and bad review(er)s, nature of the beast.

I'm just ecstatic to hear that this guy isn't the real Vapor Joe ...but it certainly reminded me to "trust, but verify" the stuff people say on the internet.

Vapor Joe would have had that guy for lunch. He's not known for being subtle.

I quit doing reviews about the time I was getting enough subscribers to get free stuff. Witch I thought was one of my goals as a reviewer. My problem was I did not feel good about getting something free and it was crap and slamming it. If I pay for it I do not feel bad about pointing out its short comings.
You shouldn't feel bad, this is a competitive marketplace, especially one with so many borderline scams. You should bring up the bad side, force the makers to take pride in their products. It is the only way our devices will get better across the board, and newcomers less likely to be unsatisfied and uninformed

^5 Steel Jan and GeekGirlVaper!!!

SteelJan is a total sweetheart. Taught me a ton but hasn't done any stuff in a while.
I'm a bit less pleased with GeekGirlVaper. I am sure that either the TARDIS or the Dalek in the background is a PV but she has yet to provided details :glare:

For me, I ignore reviews for juices as tastes are so different.
Reviews for hardware may have some info but very often, review periods are too short to expose most problems.
I look for tutorials and little else.

I like pbusardo, GrimGreen and OptimoCSM but my favorite is antossss. He doesn't hold anything back and is spot on in his reviews.

Also I would like to see steeljan start making vids again.

Yeah I watch a lot of grimgreen. I haven't watched antossss yet. I'll check him out. Thanks for the recommendation.

I like it fast and clean. Pros and cons. Yays and Nays. Gone in 60 seconds so I can move on to the next one before my bandwidth limits are exceeded again. I can not tolerate someone taking up 30 minutes of my time so I can receive 5 minutes of info. I don't care how cute you are. I don't care who your enemies are. I don't care about anything but the product being reviewed. You dang well better have a grasp on it, how long it might last, what materials it's made of, all the quirks you've encountered and heard others encounter, the solutions and fixes for those quirks, tutorial on how to make the object itself work... if you include all that, I will be back. Otherwise, save your breath, keep your forced burps to yourself, and find a different hat to wear.

That's why I love Scott's reviews. :) BUT, I sure wish he had a PB summary rating system. (and most of PB's shows, but the fluff is getting thick).

I like Mike, the Hill Giant too. He even edits his shows and posts the parts us limited bandwidth people can catch. I hate to miss his entire show, cuz he covers really cool previews and has fun random contests, but it is what it is. Thanks Mike for including us bandwidth challenged folks into your lineups.

Todd? Love Todd! But can't ever catch an entire show. I have to skip through to the gist. I wish he'd edit it down to the nitty gritty. I'd watch them all if he did that.
