We have so many REAL problems down here, surely they can focus their time and our tax money on something more vital than this.
You aren't kidding. I thought things were bad up in Virginia. What's up with all the hot amd runs? Seems like there are 3 or 4 a week down here. And dont6even talk to me about robberies! 3 to 5 a day. Pile on top of that the corrupt politics and I have no idea why anyone really wants to live here. Then I look at the thermometer and compare it to Virginia and understand. :)

Morning (ok, afternoon) everyone. Been kind of laying low the last few days. Just a little bummed for absolutely no reason. Isn't depression wonderful? ;) Not really that bad, just been cold and rainy and I have been on a reading jag. I'll go months without reading a single book then, get on a roll and read 10 or so. I've read a space opera series of 5 and now on book 3 or another 3 books series. Not bad for a week. :w00t::lol:

A long time ago, my parents pointed out to me that "Fourteen hours a day of reading makes Mary a sad girl." Of course, Dickens didn't help. But I still do take breaks.

Hmmmmm. Yes, politicians are/can be a$$inine, and yes, it can induce a lot of anger, but we experienced that in Pa., Va., and most other states we lived in.
Could be the part of Florida we live in, but I must respectfully disagree with you about the other negative aspects. We've been here since 02 and we do not experience a lot of which you speak. Even our weather near the A/coast is more moderate, and if we had experienced what you have, Peter and I would have been long gone! :) :)

Ham sting... was pretty well pooped last night.

Patty fell
Iffy does Patty lift
Patty's legs just give way
"Going down!"
Shifted weight(s) to left to avoid landing on her
Half way down left ham string says "Enough, you're on your own!"
Dual visits to ER
Patty was OK, but extremely fatigued
Iffy has his left ham string sprung
Patty goes home with daughters
Iffy spends two nights getting his fill of poultry*

Only issue I'm having is part of that ham string is located right where I plop my left cheek on the toilet seat. Other than that, doing better than I thought.

* hospital meals
turkey sandwich
cold scrambled eggs (stuck to the plate)
chicken noodle casserole
turkey & dressing
chicken salad

I'm having this weird urge to pluck and preen.

After that, you DESERVE to pluck and preen, Iffy!

Glad you're both (relatively) unscathed, and hope you get over the rest of it soonest!!

What's a hot amd run?

When Intel workers make the competitor's chip in the dead of night? Or some boot-legger moving heisted ones across State lines??

Start on RObert Jordan's WHeel of Time series that will keep you busy for at least a week. ;) IT is what 14? 17?(don't really remember how many it was since I read it over the space of years as it was written) 600-1200 page books?
