Depends on where itz streaming from. Choppy? Hang up and find another source. Itz tricky getting the hang of it but itz knot really rocket science.

After at least a week of research ('til 3AM at times) and gettin' da Fire TV Stick, must agree wid da above! My PC Kodi is easy peasy. Using it to sort through all chaff to find da sweet wheat fer da Stick. And yes, it takes sum patience (as gary noted) to get to a desired configuration. But hey, other dan live stream, it will all still be dere when ya want to view a movie/TV prog/event.

Do like Willie's idea of a cheap dedicated wired 'puter fer streaming. Oh wait, I already have a cheap LT 'puter dat has, so far, provided sum great Kodi viewings. Wid my hopeful anticipated cable $aving$, I just might $plurge fer a full blown XP platform <sigh...>...

Gotta shout out 'nother thanx to gary, ken, willie et al fer dere info/encouragements. Fer dose hesitant like I was, dis streaming thang is actually easier and less expensive dan findin' your max vape/DIY setup!

Yo Mama. There are a few addons that require that you have another addon already installed. That my be why the sports glitch. I know mucky ducks is required for a few. And there's a bunch of others as well. Navi8, fmf tester... the list goes on. A lot of the programs run thru other programs to get to their sources.

i usually get some kind of dependency error, depending on how i try to (re-)install. as a(n ex-) programmer, i know what that means. exactly, as you said.

unfortunately, kodi's error logs are pretty much inscrutable to me, since i don't do android or kodi as a programmer.

i've seen addons install their dependencies before, but SD apparently isn't one, or is not doing it well.

the only thing i "need" SD for is college football. the "ProSports" addon works great for all of the pro leagues.

i'll figure it out sooner or later.

Mama, I'd do a search for how to install SD. That will prolly tell you what you have to install first. If that's the problem.

You said you installed something form that British guy. The one I watched was this one and he talks about a wizard at the end that has a bunch of addons in it with all the extra stuff you need to make it work.

But I'm not a programmer and he goes so fast, I keep having to stop it go back, stop it again, I can't write as fast as he talks. And if I slow it down he sounds like he has been hittin the Guiness real hard.
