We passed up on the 'talking' refrigerator'. It had a screen, mic and speaker in the door. You could play back netflix, pandora and some other apps on the screen and tether to your phone to make phone calls with it. I just couldn't see myself standing in front of the fridge talking to it. Nope.
But you could watch a cooking show on the door while you're looking to see if you have the ingredients or need to find another cooking show...![]()

That is why the TV room is next to the kitchen. Proper home floorplan. Who wants to watch an 8" movie screen anymore...
Too frustrated with the lack of sound right now. I have been writing all day, and don't want any more frustration.Anyone going to the Hangout tonight??
Not tonight partner. Maybe tomorrow. Right now headed to bed. Was just getting ready to post the good night wishes to all so.... Goodnight everybody. I will most definitely see you all tomorrow. Can't guarantee morning or afternoon but, I suspect morning.Anyone going to the Hangout tonight??

Also had never heard about 'induction' stoves. The burners don't get hot at all. Some kind of magic w/ magnetism heats the metal cooking pan/pot - but you can put your hand on the burner area and not get burned. Nope wasn't interested in this technology either. The salesman said his friend just lays paper towels on the stove top before cooking. Then any spills / splashes are soaked up by the towels and no stains on the glass top.
Me neither but, that's what is waiting for us at the MIL's house. All electric home too. Gas other than propane is not available and it's a townhouse in neighborhood association development and I am not sure we could even have a propane tank installed. Couldn't put it in back as access would be through the neighbor's back yard and I don't think they would let it go out front even if I wanted to put it there. I really like cooking with gas. They say an electric oven is better though as it holds a more even temperature.
Ferrous Metal. At least I'm fairly sure. Still here but working towards bed.We have an induction cooktop. It works beautifully! The only downside is that your pots and pans must be made of a metal that can hold a magnet. (I know there's a word for that, but for the life of me I can't recall it! Damnable chemo brain!) Ours has a special burner that heats up really quickly; a big pot of water (think spaghetti pot) comes to a boil in about 2 minutes. Induction ranges have been popular in Europe for a long time. Not so much, here.
OT: Had a busy day today, culminating in the purchase of a Mark Bugs Chalice. Now I just need to get a bottom fed mod
Off to la la land. So sleepy. Hugs to all and wishes for a restful night!
It didn't. Put in 2PAD and went from 6.50 to 7.00 on the cost. Still a little low but, who cares. It's the date that's important in my book.I just put in 2.5 and didn't even look to see if it took.
I'm just happy she decided to replace the current glass top stove w/ a gas stove. I never liked the glass top stove.

hehehe your fridge could go in the hangout though!! lolI just couldn't see myself standing in front of the fridge talking to it. Nope.
now that would be interesting. I've seen those burners they advertise with induction, looked interesting, but dunno. Still prefer a gas stove, but have only had one one time. The salesman said his friend just lays paper towels on the stove top before cooking. a Reo perhaps? lol Or do ya still want a regulated one? If so, ask Ken about the one he got. It's cheaply made, but I think around 40.00 now. I'd posted the link for you when it was on sale, and he bought one lolOT: Had a busy day today, culminating in the purchase of a Mark Bugs Chalice. Now I just need to get a bottom fed mod![]()
Jup, I don't really care about the cost. I put in 4.00, but really the ones I was smoking for the last two years were 1.50/pack after tax cuz I just couldn't afford my marlboro's anymore. 13 more days til I hit 3 years. (if I math'd right which is unlikely) lolIt didn't. Put in 2PAD and went from 6.50 to 7.00 on the cost. Still a little low but, who cares. It's the date that's important in my book.
