I have 2 kayfun clone and just really do not like them at all. I can make them work after a fashion but mine are huge, prone to dry hits and leak out the screw at the bottom. They are in hte vapocalypse box for an emergency.

The subtanks are smaller, lighter, haven't had a leak yet and frankly are dead easy to build.
Do they not have the oring on the fill hole screw?

I don't hang out in the DIY threads, but I've never heard that. Kurt says it's naturally antimicrobial, so I know it wouldn't "spoil" but have never heard about rancidity. Most juice makers say at least two years if they put expiration dates, and we know it keeps for much longer than that even with flavors.
No, but even if the newer version, easy to retrofit so Kanger single bottom coils work, and you can rebuild those easily.

I thought it was PG that's anti-microbial, not VG?
Wish you'd put that up before I made myself cross-eyed looking is up. My recollection was both were. Since Kurt said it is, I won't go into it.
oops, looks like if we want to get them at that price we gotta do it today. If I am reading it right the sale ends tonight. They are in the Veterans Day sale newsletter.
Oh, thanks! I'll tell my husband to hurry up then. ;) Intrigued by the other tanks mentioned... :(

two things -
first: time for a new contest!!
new competition for a new device
More chances to win!
Win! 200 Joyetech eVic VTC Mini (Plus 50 more onsite at E-Cigarette-Forum.Com)

And tonight's walk was particularly satisfying.
about 1/4 around my 1 mile path, I came across a lady checking her sprinklers. I had originally met her last year through a friend, and she was mildly intrested in vaping...
she now has an iStick and a kanger dual-coil tank! I spent about 20 min with her teaching her how to fill it correctly, change the airflow and we also talked about e-liquid. I let her try my freckled lemonade, and she really likes it. gave her the address for MBV, and told her she should join us here on ECF. Hope she does. :)

On the Subtank mini I have multiple coil choices. The OCC and RBA, of course. Then I find I can Tootle Puff using a ProTank 2 coil (rebuilt with 30 guage Kanthal and cellucotton) or an Aspire BVC "Replacement" coil (non Nauty) for "easy livin' ". Use middle hole. :)

Thank you, Mattiem, for the heads up on Davides at GotVapes. :) I can always use a couple more either with my rebuilt coils on AFC or with the Aspire extension ring on the AFC and using the Aspire BVC "Replacement" coils.

You are very welcome. Glad I could help. I love saving money 'specially on something that works so well for me.

Yep it makes life a bit easier around the house if hubby and wifey are using the same toppers. For a long time Janet didn't want to vape rebuildable. Then a bunch of month's ago I had her try a nano-KFL. Shortly after she asked for another. Now she has a bunch. So now I can build the same coil on the same type of topper for both of us.

We both been using the same setup since day 1. I bought her a provari within the first couple months and I got a severe case of shineyitis. I haven't had to deal with her gear since she got the provari. She likes the longer battery in her IStick 50 so when that dies she'll be back on her provari. Kayfuns were to much hassle compared to the protank to fill so she stayed on the PT2 and I moved forward.

no I made one with a piece of the bottom of a carto condom

I made a few of those but drilled a hole in the condom first and used a single hole punch and made the disk with the hole, put it on the screw and trimmed with a xacto knife. Only con is getting them out to refill, their a pain sometimes but they did also begin to leach in time. Little seeping really isn't that bad so I got use to wipe the bottom off every time I fill. My authentic Russian is the only atty that doesn't leach and it doesn't have a oring at all.

The only way I would get one is if I wanted something to play with. Pretty complex to me.
Too complex or advanced for legs? We know that he is addicted to the next new thing. That item must be really far out on the cutting edge.

Yep, everything the same-- know backwards and forwards how to work it. Know 95% of the time what the problem is and how to fix it.

Welcome to the porch choochoo, always nice to have new folks join in. Pull up a rocker and make yourself at home.

You got it 3mg ... I raised my preferred ohms and lowered Janet's it's a bit and now I've got a standard household build for both of us.

Aw-w-w-w, thanks, Ken_A and MikeE3. :) Just meant to slip in/slip out to just possibly, maybe just a wee bit, add a little info for any Tootlers here and only found because other people shared on other threads (Taxguydave and Enaud).......A "hit and run" if you will. Ha! Then back to my "comfort zone" at the Molehill Mountain thread......Although got to say these rockers do feel right comfy. :)

Hi, Kenna! :) I'm a "Flitting Lurker" too. Ha! Find most times just when I think I can contribute, someone already beat me to it! Slow much? heeheehee

Mattiem, won't the new vaping/ecig laws in Arkansas "cramp your style"? Here in Chattanooga it takes 10 minutes to be in GA.....where the cigarettes are cheaper. Ha! Last time TN increased the excise taxes on them, they had big warnings everywhere that it was against the law to transport GA cigs to TN and cops were going to be looking for us nefarious "cig runners"......That lasted for all of a couple months. Haven't made that dangerous trip in 28 months......It's good to live next to a border sometimes. :)

@choochgranny, You are so welcome here! This is a lot like the Mountain, only flat, with the view, beverage, ohms, & juice of your preference! Lots of Tootlers here, & you'll fit right in! We have 2 Porches. The Front Porch is in the General Vaping Forums area of EFC & is anything vaping related, which we often fail at sticking to & we have to remind each other which Porch we're on. The Back Porch is in the Lounge of the Forums so that is where we visit & talk about anything within reason. Both are just one long running conversation, just like a real porch, & the Mountain. I still pop into the Mountain on sale nights at times, but am trying to direct my spending to Vapocolypse including diy now, so I stay away from other shinies until that is accomplished. I have to discipline myself or I'd have a box full of beautiful drip tips & nothing to use them on! [emoji12] Don't be a stranger!

Well, then grab your ol' robe. comfy slippers and sit a spell!

I'm a "Flitting Lurker" too.

Flirting gals are common in Chatty. Wha... oh... In dat case, Vanna, I'd like to buy an ar!

All I've seen said is that it goes rancid after a year but I have some older than that that seems fine.

I have used some that are over two years old with no discernible issues.

I am sure it will hurt lots of folks :( Fortunately I am pretty well set up so it isn't going to bother me. I live pretty close to Oklahoma though :lol::lol: That is where I went for my smoke runs. sure am happy that I don't have to do that anymore.

I have a bunch of o-rings I ordered from one of the o-ring supply houses. Some for the KF tanks top and bottom, some chimney o-rings and a bunch of o-rings for the fill screw. My KF Lites fill screws seem to seal better without any o-ring at all. I was having leaks all the time with the o-ring in and once accidentally left it out. No leak at all. Been using them like that ever since. I just got 4 more. EHPro KF from that clearance and haven't even unwrapped them. I'll have to see if they have an O-ring or not. If the mating surfaces are machined well they might actually seal better without them. At least in my case they are.
