Legalize language is sometimes hard to interpret, but after reading it - the one thing that stood out to me was that it said you cannot receive eliquid unless it is from a manufacturer that holds an Indiana license. That could be interpreted as no more internet purchases.

Sec. 3.
(b) A person may not knowingly receive or acquire e-liquid
from a person or authorized distributor who does not hold a valid
permit under this article to sell, deliver, furnish, or give the
e-liquid.

Same here... Wonder if we confused it by hitting reply at the same time :D

I do not know about that, but I do know that I get messages all the time that I cannot do that function for 14 sec or other intervals... It is almost like it monitors its own traffic levels.

Haven't been to this forum before. Haven't been to ecf in a long time, but it was here that I began. Lots has happened since I last posted, but I am still vaping....2 years and 5 months now. After 45 years on analogs, I am quite amazed that I got through a lot of high stress and didn't reach for a pack....as I always have done in the past. I have seen a lot of familiar names, and a whole lot of new ones....this is a great forum, and glad to be a part of it.

Welcome back to ECF and a bigger WELCOME to the porch. Please do find a comfortable rocker and make yourself at home here.

When you click the "media" icon during composition of an ECF post, you'll see this:

"You may embed media from the following sites:"
In the long alphabetical list is "Facebook".

Anyway, @Hoosier grasps the complexities of the new Indiana anti-vaper laws well enough to understand that it is not possible at this juncture for anyone to grasp the complexities of the new Indiana anti-vaper laws.

Here's a link for anyone who wants to read the full language of Indiana House Bill 1432, signed into law last week by Indiana Governor Pence.
https://iga.in.gov/legislative/2015/bills/house/1432#document-4a82456e

That link will nit give the whole story because 463 has amendments to 1432 in it. It also have overlapping subjects and dates of enforcement. We believe 463 is the on to read for the overlapping stuff, but we have a legal team looking into it because nobody remembers something like this being done.

No problem.

We've been seeing a large number of people in various forums posting incorrect interpretations. I've done it myself, but those times were while meeting with experienced lobbyists and our legal council. We've had quite a number of late night sessions arguing the language and ramifications.

Right now we know that August of this year, a shop will need a tobacco retailers license, bottle have to have child resistant caps and a tamper evident seal. While that date is not in 1432, it is in 463 which should have priority .

We have a number of plans in the works to keep fighting. We will post them to the website and FB when the time is right. It's been a long hard battle, but we aren't beaten yet.

Thanks for explaining, @Hoosier, that 463 overlaps/conflicts with 1432 and it's therefore necessary to read both bills in order to understand the full impact of either. Thanks also for being one of the too few who invest so much time and effort fighting for the too many (myself included) who invest too little.

It's my understanding that at least in January and possibly much more recently than that, the two bills (1432 in the Indiana House and 463 in the Indiana Senate) were identical.

Here is a link to the full text of Indiana Senate Bill 463:
https://iga.in.gov/legislative/2015/bills/senate/463#document-42ebf67e

And here again is a link to the full text of Indiana House Bill 1432:

Nope, 463 started as a cut in taxes for PX purchase cigarettes by military personnel.

539 and 1432 started and ended identically.

463 became a catch-all during late sessions required by the buget battles. It also requires summer sessions on 4 vape related topics, so we have that to look forward to too.

Hmm... tobacco license when there is no tobacco involved. Fascinating. But I guess it'll be another outlet legally able to sell cigarettes as well. ;)
I see no problem with vape stuff and tobacco stuff sold together. Going into a smoke shop and making that impulse buy of vape stuff often is the end of the evil habit.

Sec. 23. "Vapor pen" means a powered vaporizer, other than an electronic cigarette, that converts e-liquid to a vapor intended for inhalation.

How technical does this have to be ?
If I take my mod and tank - Well the mod is powered but does not convert e-liquid to vapour.
The tank does convert e-liquid to vapour but on its own it is not powered.

Sec. 9. "Electronic cigarette" means a powered vaporizer that:(1) is the size and shape of a traditional cigarette;(2) uses a sealed nonrefillable cartridge containing not more han four (4) milliliters of a liquid; and(3) is intended to be vaporized and inhaled.

Sec. 10. "E-liquid" means a substance that:(1) is intended to be vaporized and inhaled using a vapor pen. ( Well myself and many others don't use a vapor pen if going by your meaning of one.)

and - specifically excludes substances contained in nonrefillable sealed cartridges of four (4) milliliters or less used in electronic cigarettes.
( Strange so the liquid in those cigalikes an electronic cigarette as they mention in Sec 9 is excluded from being called an e-liquid. There what some big tobacco companies are selling are they not ?

I'm sure everyone would like to know your equipment/joose setups and progression...

Other than that, he's a nice, generous, harmless guy. (Please don't tell him I said that last part. ;))
