The "JBox" Issue

Let me first say, this discussion should be "civil", and in keeping with forum rules.

I ordered my JBox on September 5th, order #429, the only email, until today, I had sent was on November 28, he replied promptly enough, and told me that he had issues with the curing process, but that he thought mine was in the dryer, and he would check and get back to me in the AM, next day, I have yet to hear back. Today I sent him an email asking for a refund, haven't heard back yet. I have become convinced that I will not receive my device, even if I did I would probably sell it for way less than I paid, I am flat disgusted.

To make matters worse, and I know some will disagree, there are members in our community who gave him a pedestal, promoted his devices, and are still doing so, through their still posted replays and reviews, so while I don't think they were initially involved, or even benefitted, they are still party to his scam by nature of their inaction.

I'm talking of course about the Vape Team. Isn't Dimitri the one who always trashes China QC? Well, what would you call this?

Where is the rest of Vapors Place on this? Didn't Kevin do a show on Jolly Roger? Now one of your hosts are doing the exact same thing, where are you at?

I just want to lend my sympathies to all of you waiting patiently for your jboxes. I was very very close to being in the waiting boat with all of you. I was ready to pull the trigger and preorder one of these the end of September. Fortunately, I knew I was going to be out of town when it was supposed to be delivered so I decided to wait and order later in the fall. Never ended up ordering one. But given how close I was to ordering one, I feel so bad for all of you!

I think the most unfortunate part (aside from this wonderful community being out ~$250 each), is that we put our trust and faith into people when we preorder, or when we send our mods out for further modifications. Many small independent mod builders/painters/etc cannot afford the high overhead to have a plentiful stock and not require preordering. When people screw around with, fail to communicate with, break promises to, and scam good people out of their hard earned money, it makes it very difficult for the little guy to develop a business and for the community as a whole to have faith they won't be scammed again. That makes me sad and disappointed.

I really hope that all of you find resolution whether it be a refund or delivery of your mod. Each and every one of you deserve to have this debacle resolved in the appropriate manner.

ECF has shut down the forum account, the Vape Team has quietly removed him from their published list of hosts, and nobody who might know something is talking and the website appears active. No alert has been published anywhere to not order this device and there has been no communication from the supplier to all these customers.

All there is is speculation and anger and disappointment from everyone who thinks they've probably been burned.

I don't think this will end well.

Until the Vape Team speaks on this publicly, in my eyes, they are implicit in this, they still have the replays up, where they pushed his stuff, and they all still have their reviews up, now they are trying to quietly distance themselves, and we are all left to get screwed.

His site is still going, the most recent I've seen was November 25th, but I know of one person who was about to order one today and then he saw all of this on Facebook. So its pretty safe to assume, that the Vape Team either doesn't care, or is so spineless that they don't want to face the issue. Its pretty sad, they sell themselves as our defenders, well that looks to be a load of bull.

They could get answers, so where are they? They could help us, why aren't they?

That site should be shut down and the BBB should be notified. I just went to the site and it's still accepting orders. Unsuspecting people not knowing what has happened could be taken for their money by ordering a JBOX. The vape team should grow a couple and be proactive on this mater. I've lost all respect and confidence in the Vape Team and the same (probably) with many other people. By them being complacent in this matter they are only ruining there reputation with many in the e-cig community me included.
I prey that the people who have ordered a JBOX (I'm not one of them but I don't like to see people get burnt like this) and not received it will get their money back.

WAKE UP CALL WAKE UP CALL! The problem with this whole situation is that we got way too emotionally attached to the jbox. How, you might ask? We looked at Jason as being a part of the vape community, thus looking to him as a fellow man, a buddy to vaping world. In reality, we should have looked at this as a business deal only. To us, Jason looked like a pal...to Jason, we looked like a_________.(fill in the blank) We should have never got ourselves in this situation. If any of you guys are still under the 60 day waiting period for your jbox, you need to get out RIGHT NOW. Do not wait thinking that you will receive your Jbox. Trust me, you never will receive it.

Show airs on Wednesdays at 9:30pm EST.

Anyone contact Vapeteam? This does not look well on them as well. Vapersplace.com also has a forum. Although we could assume by this time they are already aware of the issue but choose to not be involved, since the last show he was in was Dec. 5.

As no one seems to be coming forward as to whats going on and the fact that the website is still taking orders (peoples money) is about as wrong as it can get. Whatever may be going on in his life does not excuse not taking a minute for him, friend, or an associate an explanation or expectation.
