Yeah, but I picked up 2 SVD 2's for 19.00 each, and they are a awesome self defense weapon in 18650 mode, if need be.
When I first took that Firephoenix out of the package and put a 18650 battery in it, I said to myself--"I need to buy another one so I can make a set of nunchaku!"

vape Fu!

I may end up buying another one anyway. I think now I need a 18500 version.

Just to touch on these CF4 mods again, especially after they have been etched, it really is a great idea to buy a clear transparent wrap for them from jwraps, protects everything for as long as the wrap lasts, feels good in the hand too, more grippy.. :thumb:

I haven't seen any wraps that were truly transparent. Mostly I don't care for the feel of wraps; if there any anything granular on the counter when I set them down (salt, sugar, etc), it sticks to those silicone wraps, feels nasty.

Can you shorten it to use a Kick in it with an 18500? I dont remember if that had a VV Board in it or not?

If it's an 18650 tube, it's already at the length you need to use an 18500+Kick.

Another good trick, RE: 18500's -- if you use a Kick ring from a 22mm mod (a Chi You kick ring is the kind I use) on a Vamo, you can use an 18500 and not have the thing be so long it's half of a pogo stick. :thumb:

OK. Why not just buy a regulated mod in the first place?

I have 8 or 10 regulated mods; I also have 2 mechs, for vapocalypse prep, but I always want a regulated vape, so I stocked up on Kicks too, to put in those mechs, should I ever be down to nothing but mechs and no way to buy new electronic mods.

I don't worry. I have faith that their will be Vapeasies.

I wouldn't say I'm particularly worried; given the opportunity to make a lot of money on vapers, I think the gov't is far more interested in taxing us than banning us -- what worries me more is that regulated mods might go from $30-$100 to something like $150-$500, due to taxes -- which would put them far beyond my reach. Ditto that for nicotine, which is why I have about 5 yrs' worth in my freezer.

I see the writing on the wall; it might turn out to be nothing but graffiti, but then again... "the words of the prophets are written on the studio walls" as some very good songwriters once said. :D

Not only that, but there will always be tinkers who can make a PV out of a lobster and a stick.

On edit: I think I'm going to make a mech mod tonight out of a toilet paper tube, aluminum foil and wire. And a battery. One that won't make too much of a mess when it goes "BOOM!!!"

Save some time - they do have it in stainless :)
I was thinking that as I was removing the finish with lacquer thinner and sandpaper. But the only reason I did that was because the finish on the original was so bad, you couldn't do anything without scratching it. How bad the finish was is evidenced by the fact that it took me all of 5 minutes to remove it completely.

That said, I'm still deciding whether to buy 1, 2, or 3 more of them. In stainless. If I buy one, it will be to make a 18500 version. If I buy two, it will be to make nunchaku. If I buy three, then all bets are off.
