I think I'm done with this site

And that's a good thing! I've been vaping for 6 months, and I'm now totally and completely done with my 40-year cig habit. I feel great, and the addiction is 100% obliterated. I used to check this site many times per day. But now I visit about once a week -- and I rarely read any posts...

    Stainless steel Boges are thinner

Is it just me, or are the stainless steel Boge cartos not good for the "condom" method of filling? I've used the condom method successfully with black Boges. But Boges without the black stuff is thinner in diameter. So doing a condom fill results in juice seeping up around the exterior.

    Making juice -- and steeping

Here's something I don't understand. How do people come up with excellent juices? In my limited experience, the best liquids require steeping for 7-10 days. Without steeping, many of them are almost tasteless. So when you're inventing a new juice, do you try something, wait 10 days, and...

    I saw a vaper today!

It was the first actual vaper I've seen who wasn't in the local vape shop. He was just an average guy working in a store, with a lanyard around his neck that housed an eGo and a Stardust. I said, "Hey, a vaper!" He looked at me strangely, and I pointed to his lanyard. Then he started to...

    Cartos vs. Stardust

I've purchased at least 10 Stardust clearomizers. At one point, I thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. Finally! (I thought). A vastly improved way to vape. Easy to fill, and you can see how much juice is left. But, gradually, my love affair soured. They are absolutely...

    I finally tried Malty Toffee!

I was so looking forward to this after reading so many great reviews. I've ordered from several vendors, but I never had one take 10 days to deliver like this one. All the better, I thought. It must be really popular and really good. I tore open the package and filled up a relatively new...

What do you consider "chain vaping"

It's a term that's used a lot, and it probably means different things to different people. To me, chain vaping means taking one hit after another, with no less than 30 seconds between hits -- and doing so for at least a half hour. I've done it in the past, but I rarely do it any more.

Is this normal for a Provari?

I've had my Provari V2 for about a month. Lately I've been noticing something that I hadn't noticed earlier. If I'm holding it vertically... When I release the button I feel some kind of movement inside the unit. It's kind of like the battery is shifting slightly or a spring is being...

    What does nicotine feel like?

Kind of a basic question, but I'm interested in reading what others think. When I over-vape, I feel a tingling sensation from within. I think that's the feeling of nicotine in the bloodstream. It's not an unpleasant feeling - although I can see how it could be, in excess. Oddly, I never...

    A full day of flavors

This morning, I loaded up a Stardust with Belgian Waffle (from Highbrow). When it got down to about 25%, I refilled with my favorite all-day, Dueling Banjos (from High Desert). After dinner, I topped it off with a nice Heavenly Macaroon (also from Highbrow). The flavors are all perfectly...

    E-Liquid Pricing

As a relative newbie, I'm curious about the pricing for e-liquids. For example, Ms.T's Bakery gets good reviews. A 30-ml bottle seems to be $20.75. Then you go to EC Blend, a 30-ml bottle is $8.99. Both of these suppliers get excellent reviews. So why the huge disparity in pricing? I...

    Stopping smoking: Types of vapers

I'm a lucky one. Eight weeks into it, I'm off of cigarettes. In fact, I was off them from day 1. I read lots of threads at ECF, and I think there are three general types of vapers: 1. Immediate quitters. I'm one. I took my first hit from an e-cig, and realized that it had the potential to...

    Consumer Reports on ecigs

Same old stuff. Consumer Reports looks at pluses and minuses of electronic cigarettes | abc7news.com Consumer Reports says there's another concern that's been raised about e-cigarettes: they could actually be a gateway that leads to the real thing. That's because these devices are easily...

    Provari vaping tips?

I've had my V2 for a few days, and I'm impressed. There was a time when I thought my eGo was the ultimate vaping machine. Boy was I wrong. So far, I've learned one thing: Voltage makes a difference. I'm finding that if a carto or clearomizer isn't delivering the optimal vape (either too wimpy...

    Fast shipping!

I ordered my Provari V2 Friday night. Now, Monday afternoon, I got an email that it's shipped. So that "ships in 7-10 days" thing isn't quite accurate.

How long does it take to buy a Provari?

I've been vaping for 45 days, and I just placed my order. I wonder what the average time is? I'll bet it's a lot longer than 45 days. I've been thinking about this for about two weeks. And having 4 Scotch's helped me pull the trigger. But my brain is sober enough to tell me that the cost...

    The Ideal Starter Kit

Yesterday, a friend asked me for some recommendations for his wife, who wants to explore the world of vaping. Actually, she wants to explore the world of non-smoking, and I convinced him that vaping is an easy way to do it. I told him I'd check around and find a good starter kit. After 20...

    Success rate for juice?

Thinking back on all of the bottles of juice you've ordered, what percentage of those bottles was "really good?" I'm just a newbie, but I think my success rate is really low. If I count the sampler pack of small bottles, my success rate is a lowly 3%. I've only had one that was un-vapable...

    Unused analogs

I still have seven packs of Marlboros in a drawer, left over from when I smoked. Two months ago, I never could have imagined that I could quit smoking and still have cigs in the house. It's like a lost all interest in them, and they aren't the slightest temptation. My wife's son is coming to...
