I don't think it would have mattered what we called it.

The target was not the name of the product.
It was the way said product could destroy such a long-standing money train.

We could have called it "Fresh Scent Air Sanitizer" and they still would be all over us just like they are now.

Agreed DC...but they can further confuse the masses since there isn't a clear distinction.

Either way, you are right BT is gonna worm their way into making it bad because it hurts their cash cow.

We need you both.

In the fight for freedoms there was Malcolm X and there was dr Martin Luther King jr. Both were profound in their own way but one made a lot more impact on change than the other.

In the fight against aids there were several groups as well. Contrary to the freedom fight, the militant group stood their ground, took their losses and made the greater change.

Prohibition... speaks for itself.

You never know what side is going to make the greater difference. Often don't know if one can make change without the other.
This......

I vaped in a meeting at work today....The first thing I did was ask if anyone minded. Guess what, no one did. Had I not asked, they would have all minded or resented me for being impolite...

That is my point...I did not have to get in anyone's face to vape in a public building and I had some folks after the meeting say, "Hey! That was actually a pleasant smell, have you quit smoking with that?" And I have a potential new vaper coming....

I guess my way works for me just fine.
You live in Virginia?

I wish it worked that way here in California.

Oh you can be pretty damn sure us vapers have put a big dent into BT's pocketbook..Why else would they want in on the vaping scene? It's already in the works as behind the door BT is suggesting more regulations for the FDA to implement. None of which would hurt their cigalikes that will only be in two flavors. tobacco and menthol. I don't care if BTs ECs are the last to be had I wouldn't stick one of those things in my face hole EVER!

I've been vaping for only few months now, but it was kind of a given to me that I need to step outside of a public area when I want to vape. Sure vapor isn't toxic, smelly, or lingering like cigarette smoke but a vapor cloud is just as big if not bigger than a smoke cloud from a cigarette, so I can totally see how it can be rude or distracting to a non-vapor/smoker in a public forum. Personally, I'm happy that I'm now able to puff away in the comfort of my own home, back when I smoked cigarettes I would always go outside even at my own residence simply because I didn't want my place to smell like an ashtray (it was bad enough my cloths and breath always did), now I don't have to worry about that.

Bottom line if it wasn't for vaping then I would still be smoking which means I would have to go outside anyway. So I figure what's the big deal?

Whelp...the company is Global and I would bet they would let me vape in the office in Cali too...I think they figure they get more out of me when I am not running outside to vape or smoke. Like I said, every time I have asked, I get what I want as far a vaping location. I guess I am just likeable enough that they don't want to say no...the vape police have never been called.

But I do know them and they know me...so I am not among strangers.

Nothing as long as you don't mind that you've conditioned yourself to vaping as if you were smoking. I finally lost my conditional smoker train of thoughts and vape anywhere as long as nobody has a problem with me vaping. I'm never rude about it I just say, "Hey I'm gonna take a vape. If it smells bad or makes you uncomfortable let me know and I will stop." I've done this fishing on a boat and while at my friends houses. Only one of my friends asked me to put the vape out because we were in his car in confined space and that brand of juice was a stinky tobacco one..lol

Hey folks...how you feel about how people feel about where they vape is not as important as responding to things like this...CASAA: Call to Action: New York City is Considering Banning the Sale of Flavored E-Cigarettes and E-Liquids .Please respond and let NYC know that we believe in the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!

And we will vape any flavor we want to thank you!

Yes that a need to be done thing for sure even if most of us feel we are not being heard or taken seriously. I've carried that big political 'L' (Libertarian) around for the past two elections and are use to feeling like my voice isn't being heard but just because I feel that way doesn't mean I'm not being herd.
Katherine Heigl recently educated David Letterman on e-cigarettes and every time I see a celebrity useing one of these I totally wished he/she was using a REO or Provari heck anything a bit more elaborate than one of those stone age cigalikes..lol

I literally see no ground that NYC Comm. Council is standing on, other than "we're here, we're ANTZ, and we're just insane enough to think this could pass."

Maybe in the next day or two they'll provide a reason as to why anyone would find that sensible to do.

I like what Casaa did with this...It is a form letter so a person doesn't even have to be thoughtful (or a great writer) to respond. You can add your comments too if you like. If you are not from NYC, you should add that you are not from there but you travel there...etc.etc.

Casaa is making it very easy for us to speak out. I like that.

I'll admit here that I have yet to submit letter on this, because I find no pleasant way to share my comments right now. As I see the ordinance based on nothing, then I am prone to make a mockery out of the stance. And not sure if vaping community/CASAA would appreciate that sort of submission or instead choose to distance themselves from it.

I've noted elsewhere that this is issue #1 for me on vaping, and thus bigger than what FDA has so far proposed, bigger than this public vaping topic, and bigger than online sales topic. All of those are very important to me, but flavor issue is #1. If jurisdiction is putting this forth and not presenting rationale for why they are doing it, I would be so charged up to not write in courteous manner, and thus am wise enough that perhaps my thoughts don't need to be contributed. Then again, within next couple of days, or even within next couple of hours, I may change my mind and say to heck with it, NYC - prepare to be humiliated.

Did you know that Katherine Heigl now owns a Provari?
