This might sound strange, but I really think it's the top cap that has that strange smell. Someone mentioned it before. I didn't believe it until I received mine from VJ. These cartos are great but just don't work with pure VG well. By the way, I've been following this thread since inception. You guys have done a good job.

im not sure about it being the top cap, im using them and dont have the bad taste, i even through a ne wone on thier and nothing, i think it was the glue causing the taste.

Well i use vg on the ones with the looser coil and it works perfectly, it didnt work well on the ones with a tight coil that didnt wick well.

JUST a Update.

I made my order and recievbed an email stating all order are on hold until production of the new ceramics which seem to work great, they dont want any incidents so they will make sure they are perfect before filling any orders.

Got my order of 60 E2 510's in today, popped out the top cap and inner cap very easily and filled with some 12mg Cola, popped the inner cap on and put a drip tip on as I prefer that then the silicone top cap and put it on my Ego, these things work great, far better than any other carto I've tried with great taste and vapor. No probs at all chain vaping, wicks beautifully

Linda just sent me an e-mail and asked if I wanted to wait for the ceramic ones or get the plastic ones, said it would be next week sometime. I said I could wait.

I received and EMAIL at 3:40AM asking if I wanted to wait for the ceramic versions (XL carts). I then received an EMAIL at 5:37AM saying that my order had shipped. Guess they weren't really interested in my reply!

Strangely, that was regarding my XL order that I placed on the 30th. My order for the "standard" length units from the 28th is still processing.

Probably doesn't help that they have a bunch of people working out of the same mailbox. When I e-mailed to cancel my first order, I got replies for 2 days from like 4-5 different people.

My XL's from the 30th have shipped.

My 808D-1's (in both voltages) from the 28th are still processing.

I guess those will be the ceramic ones.

I just got an email from e-liquid.cn regarding my order of standard 3.7 kr808d-1 from the 28th. Order is shipped with tracking from ems. Have to wait and see what revision I'll get.

The plastic revision actually is already improved,
what we do not know is how the ceramic version will do initially.

I hope things go well, but realize that if you get the ceramic version, you are trying a new product design.

Someone mentioned a melted cup, and the most I could see was a malformed cup, and you know why? It's because I removed the 3 hole cap and did not replace it properly, causing its inner groove to push one half in and one half out.
They were probably talking about the new wick taste that people mention, which has absolutely nothing to do with any melted cups at all.

They do smell like acrylic monomer like from the nail shop. I'm hoping that will go away.

Could this be nothing more than the dry taste? It IS after all, a new taste to me,
and if they're using the ones dated prior to the 7/21/10 shipment, they might have to use Dekang or Ecopure also.

I wonder if they also dropped a drop or two on the coil just before using it in the beginning?

Yeah, just to be clear, it is not the dry taste. I've tasted that too. This definitely a chemical and/or plastic kind of taste. You can taste it just by taking a draw off one that isn't connected to a power source. It's possible it's the glue or the top cap. I haven't messed with them in several days because I've been too busy to screw with a staple that only works half the time anyway.

I'm anxious for the connectors to get fixed because that is really the deal breaker for me. If I can replace the top cap or even rinse them and let them air out to get rid of the chemical taste I'd be perfectly happy with these.

Well I just received my order, and found missing kits, got 100ml of ry4 instead of 3x100 of different flavors(no ry4 ordered at all), and a charger for the vgo that will not work in the U.S.

I thought naviathan said that all orders shipped after the 21st would be revised also, is that right naviathan? I got a 30 pack of filled cartos dated 6/16 and didn't even order that, tho the 5 kits were supposed to have 2 cartos each.

Of the prefilled 5-packs, so far I'm trying a 2.7 ohm kr808d1 (withouth the proper battery due to the kits not received) and the pack is labeled menthol and it tastes more like their ry4 bottle which I didn't order.

If you look back through the thread I also said to ignore the stickers with the production dates on the packaging. You got the new revision, check the coils to be sure. All the packages seem to have that production date on them, even mine did. As for the order coming in all wrong, that you'll have to talk to e-liquid.cn about. They screwed that one up pretty bad and they'll have to fix it.

The plastc tube does fit a standard syringe that I was using though.
The pack labeled vg at least does produce vapor, and so I'm having to use the old kr808d1 3.7 batteries on the 2.6 ohm carto.

It does tast strange, nothing like menthol, but plenty of steam to blow, haha

Ok, thanks naviathan, the coil does look small, but they came prefilled with a strange flavor, but it is definitely wicking great so far. I will check them later closer, maybe the coils are still larger. If you hear from Martinez could you or someone please urge him that e-liquid needs someone to do a final check (pre-shipping), they can really ruin themselves easily if things go lat this rate.
