For all those watching this thread to know when to order, wait. We're still waiting for the latest and greatest to see how they are going to react to our PVs. This product obviously isn't completely ready yet, but the manufacturer is working with us. They're making great efforts to improve the product to meet our expectations. We can argue all day long that they should have waited to release them, it's an incomplete product, the customer service sucks, etc, etc... Yes we know, but we have to hand it to the manufacturer that they've taken all this in stride and continued to make improvements based on our input. So lets let those of us willing to be the test beds work these things out and we'll let you know when to order. If you can't handle getting a possibly bad product from China, then don't order before we get a complete revision with plenty of reviews.

This must have been typed while I was typing my long post :p... I am a slow typer...

carry on

imo the early 401's don't wick well enough compared to the 510's I'm using. I placed another order for 30 and should have them in a few days.

i trust your judgement, banjo
but i'm curious if updates on the 510s and 808s are carried over to the 401s. not many people seem to get them.
hopefully your second order will shed light on this:)

Don't get me wrong you do put out some useful information, but I guess I am the only one that can misconstrue some of the posts to be more on the PR side....

Why do you insist that I'm pulling PR for this company?!?!?! Honestly I don't get it?! I haven't said anything any different than badkolo has, yet I'm the one doing PR? Really? Come ON!

lgd, this might hold true for some but in the e-cig business apparently it is rare.
at least royal smokers is making revisions in a very timely manner. look at some of the other cartos being sold which are still subject to serious burning issues and not much is being said or done.
if nav and the others involved brought this on through their discussions and experiments i, personally, am grateful. any incidental pr coming out of this is well deserved imo.

I luv luv LUV the idea of a 401 carto that holds a lot of juice. It's something that's been needed for a looooong time. When I placed my first order I was told that I'd be getting the older version of the 401's because they were concentrating on updating the others first. I was also told that all 401 orders going forward would be the newer version, so I threw another 30 pack on my XL order to see for myself.

I know it's hard to wait, but in this case I think it's the smart thing to do.

I totally understand.. and I don't discredit ANY effort that has been done for improvements... my second post where I quoted a post from nav.. is sort of the disclaimer I feel is needed more often.. of course I didn't see it while I was typing the long one....

I follow ALOT of threads and have been part of the ECF community for almost a year... so I just wanted to make sure people understood.. since we have tons of great members here.... I just don't want any progression @ the expense of the unknown, That's all... as far as v1 burning issues.. people have different opinions on those.. that doesn't need to be brought up here...
and we already had a cartomizer that doesn't make contact with the filler (GREENCIG) that though I don't prefer them.. there is a following for them...

Believe me I am just as anxious as others about this innovating design

Eh, the greencigs weren't bad. Just very difficult to fill and contrary to popular belief they do burn the wick eventually. I was the one that posted the wood screw trick to pulling them apart without destroying them. Great cartos, don't get me wrong, but they are expensive and don't last very long.

we love you, lgd

and value your disclaimers but please remember nav is kind of sensitive when it comes to the pr issue, lol
wish he had a new york type of skin

I wouldn't be so sensitive to it if it wasn't for SOMEONE'S threatening PMs about it.

You might want to just carry on with the topic at hand.. and if you have any issues with any comments please conduct it via PM, there are many staff members/Admins that are willing to help you with any misunderstandings....

Thank you for understanding

Ok, well you are declining to tell people who it is at the same time.

A metal 3-hole cap pressure fiitted the way they fit the bottom thread connector would have solved the problem, no need to find glue that people like. To be honest I want zero glue. None. What's wrong with the aluminum-metal 3-hole cap? If microcig doesn't do it, someone will, and microcig will still be trying find glue?

What's wrong with the simple silicone caps like in the KR808? No glue, no need for a needle. The extra long silicone mouthpiece can hold the other cap in place to prevent leaking (which it seems like it does anyway). Why complicate it more, or am I missing something?

It was brought up in another thread. Apparently aluminum oxides or some sort of gasses from aluminum have been linked to Alzheimer's disease.

In the thread I recently also said to use the same carto material if you want, or the same material as the bottom thread connector that is also pressure fitted. Does the entire bottom thread connector not have aluminum?

I know.
I put the inner cap in when I'm out and about, but when I'm home it's easier to leave it out and set my riva upright.:D
I am doing the same thing with my Hello battery. However, I am taking it one step further and tail piping. So far, this method comes closer to "My old familiar taste" than any other. As stated in my earlier review, most of my testing will be for taste above all else.

On another note, I found that the mouth tip of the E-2 is not for me. Because of its thickness, the air intake is almost touching the heating coil. This gives a hot stream of air on the tip of my tongue and changes the taste somewhat. It helps to pull it out half way, which equals the thickness of the older soft tips.
